We had no disruption in our area. Just heavy rain and winds.

Until this week I had a routine of laying down over lunch break. I'd set an alarm so I would return to work on time. Eventually I started to wake up or wonder what time it was w/in 2 min of the alarm.

My niece, we had to get out of town.

Like "somebody's chasing us" get out of town?
Or "feel like getting away for a spell" get out of town?

Got approved for an extra hour at lunch today and tomorrow. That extra time plus the cold pack has been very helpful this week. I'm loving it!
If given the choice, I would now vote "Yes" for a mini-siesta every work day (cold pack optional).

Of course this means holiday weekend - how much extra will they charge?
In your shoes, I'd take that date/time rather than be pushed to the end of the line for a non-holiday, non-weekend rate. A body could melt by that time

Home/scrotel. Today was longish and involved a lot of walking and a lotta looking at shit. Not literal shit - just shit.


I had an idea this morning on the way to work. Since we have a 3-day weekend (and it looks like it'll be with pay), I'm going Out West to drop off this load of old car parts that's been in the back for the truck for going on 3 months now. There are leftover things on the job that will start getting tossed and I want the space for salvaging stuff. The cats will be okay for an extra night, and I don't think they'll make me bleed.
