It’s a self-tie. I’m definitely a beginner level rope bottom/bunny. @Moochienanu has a thread, that Tan linked to in his post earlier today, that has some good information for people who are interested in self tying. I’ll throw links up later today to a couple specific posts that have tutorials.

I’m not great at working behind my back, especially if I’m not using a mirror. I start with the best intentions of making the back look pretty and how it’s supposed to look, but those sometimes fall by the wayside. I’m not doing any self suspensions, so the integrity of a knot isn’t that crucial for my purposes.

That is really beautiful, especially considering you did it alone! I have seen rigged versions that were not nearly as neat and well made!

I am still on leg self ties (and none I would post, heh. I look like a drunk spider attacked.)

I love the feel of the rope against my skin as I am tying. The compression provided by the resulting tie feels like an embrace and can make me feel more centered in my body. I also get a sense of accomplishment when I successfully complete a tie.

I tried tying a futomomo for the first time the other day… definitely not ready for posting.

I have 2 hours and 9 minutes until it is the 18th in my timezone and I think @dawn_of_night is ahead of me and it is already the 18th where you are. Timezones make everything tricky so I vote birthday present time is when it works for you (as long as both the birthday girls get to see )🤭😈🕯️🪢
