The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Have never had authentic gumbo - mostly b/c I don't care for sausage or shellfish. But had okra in some gumbo-like chicken soup before I had to give up tomatoes. Not bad.

Tried grits as an adult. Sibling wedding south of Mason-Dixon. It was on the breakfast buffet. Delish - I still make them myself occasionally. I eat mine savory, my SIL likes hers sweet. Have not tried hominy though.

Fried green tomato was delicious. At the same wedding as the grits. Was the only time I actually liked and finished a piece of fried chicken, too.

You can do a chicken and Okra gumbo.
Being from Cajun Country, I prefer that most dishes be seafood based.. 😀

Add some lump crab meat to those fried green tomatoes and drizzle some aoli sauce on top.
I'll take 6 please.
Although without the lump crab they would still be quite tasty.

It does sound delicious... and I could probably make that for you (even though I'm a Yank).

But you would be on your own for the eating part of the program. :ROFLMAO:
