Even the red line isn’t exactly red. More of a shade of pink, or perhaps salmon. An administration spokesman said they have simply begun to “carefully review proposed transfers of particular weapons”, (a review that began in April), and “paused one shipment of weapons.” Not exactly a show stopper. Looks more like a symbolic gesture to pacify the growing pro-Palestinian wing of the base. They’re getting very worried about Michigan.

My comment did answer the question. Biden agrees that Hamas needs to be eradicated and Hamas is in Rafa but he doesn’t want Israel to take the fight to where the action is, to where the bulk of Hamas fighters are located. HALFASS measures, typical Biden foreign policy. He based his decision on political expediency and pandering to his leftist base rather than agree to terminate the problem by terminating the Hamas threat.

Democrats will be politically harmed by the decisions made by Joe Biden and his NSC, but it will not change the outcome in Rafah or Gaza. The IDF will destroy Hamas in detail with or without us. It's their national security, not ours.
