The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Here in the Carolina’s the Redskins were on the radio long before the invention of the TeeVee, so you have a bunch of old Skin’s fans…I was dyed in the wool so to speak because of that and also my uncle who retired from the Pentagon, was a season tix holder in the 60’s and early 70’s, sent me loads of Redskin swag when I was a kid…I’m sorry…my feathers are still ruffled over what happened…that’s a debate for another time though…

We would go see the Orioles play, the Senator’s were before my time. The old Memorial Stadium on that hill in the middle of a neighborhood I remember?

The kids live in Tampa and so are Rays fans. Bucs, too. I just keep up with the AL East, kind of. MLB isn't really for me. Been to 1 game ever. Don't like crowds. I keep up with football by computer. I watched the AFC championship game last season as my 1 game watched.

But I'm kinda looking at the cattle auction, so there's that.

The next installment of the potting process. Basically you can see how I strapped the plant in and where the loop goes over the knob, that will in time become another Shari. I’m going to give the plant enough time to recover from this. You can see just how thin the trunk is in these shots! Although the root system was healthy.

You said “strapped”, “knob” and “loop.”

What's everyone up to this fine Fri, morning?

I am multitasking. On lit while I’m on a boring call. Don’t tell my boss!!

It’s been cool here in Jersey and had to bring my plants in last nite. Typical for this time of year. And no rain on the horizon. Last year, we had an extremely dry spring as well, followed up by a very wet summer.

We own a small farm (mostly woodland for firewood) but we do also grow seedlings for our farm stand and also sell pumpkins and gourds and sunflowers.

Can’t control the weather!!

Back to my boring call!

No worries.
I usually do more perusing of the internet than work, myself.

I'll trade you some Gulf Coast heat and humidity for your cooler temps.

What sort of seedlings to you sell?

We sell
Marigolds, sunflowers, random pumpkins and gourds (there’s a reason for the randomness), broom corn, zinnia and cosmo.)
