The boy looked at Johnny... can't help thinking she was channelling a bit of Mapplethorpe or some of his mates in this song.the boy was in the hallway drinking a glass of tea
I have that written somewhere... in her hand
I’ve been quietly watching in complete bemusement due to my lack of music knowledge, but always good to see people having an in depth chat about something they likeI'd love to join in, but I don't know what you are talking about.
Don't take that as you need to stop though!![]()
Just one of those things, you know when you bump into somebody who's into the same music as you, for the same reasons? And you immediately start nerding out and speaking a different language (mostly quoting beloved lyric snatches), one that nobody else knows but the two of you know intimately without ever having learnt it.I'd love to join in, but I don't know what you are talking about.

It is a little like the resistance, the resistance to bland people-pleasing music. This sounds like something the resistance would say in allo allo
But if it’s people pleasing it can’t be that bad - otherwise it wouldn’t please people? There is a reason impenetrable jazz music isn’t crowd pleasing - good luck to those who enjoy it though. It is a little like the resistance, the resistance to bland people-pleasing music.

This would be me at a party, immediately ignoring everybody else because I found a fellow traveller and nothing else matters in that moment. I have done this at parties.
NB, this doesn't happen with Phil Collins or Abba fans. It has to be artists who nobody else has a clue about. The bond is tighter that way.
Which is?It is a little like the resistance, the resistance to bland people-pleasing music.
Love what you love and celebrate it. Bad Manners are only acceptable playing Lip up Fatty.
Now we all want to know your favourite Dan Brown book!I feel the same about book snobs. God so you've read a 1500 page tome about what ever. Who gives? Unless you fucking loved it. Then good on you. So what if you read Dan Brown, or Dr Seuss or Agatha Christie or Barbara Cartland.
Do you enjoy it? Then why does it matter what someone else likes.
I am VERY intelligent. And comfortable with that. (Sorry for not being modest) but just because I like to escape my brain at times doesn't make me dumb?
Fucking hell
I think I've found my soapbox.
