The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Good morning 🥱. I need cup #2 ☕️. This may be my last week as early morning taxi for my grandson. I am to take over as taxi for my granddaughter who is starting day care soon. 😀

This means I stay up later and watch my baseball team.

How are our friends overseas in Africa (South Africa?) and Europe?

WOW! This looks beautiful! 😍😍

Be sure you look EVERYWHERE for more ticks! And watch for signs of Lyme Disease. They include:
Expanding area of redness at the site of the tick bite
Fever
Headache
Fatigue

If in doubt, see your Healthcare provider!
I’ve had a few run ins with Lyme disease. It sucks.

But def check for ticks. My wife too. She’s a gardener and is always outside.

Years ago we took in a feral cat (lots of farm cats around here) that was pregnant. She had a litter of 6, in the house, on my birthday lol. Here are a few of the pics. We found homes for all and paired them up 😊
Adorable kitties!

What a zoo! 10 cats!! Damn. But you did a good thing.

We had a good barn cat in our farm. But I haven’t seen him in a long time. 😞

Productive day.

I finished off the deck. Added the stairs and trex decking. I really wanted to do a picture frame deck pattern but was pressed for time and just went for a traditional pattern. Still turned out nicely I thought.

Then after dinner, I took my lawn mower down to the farm (my neighbor lets me cut thru his field) and mowed the farm yard.

I did find a tick on me so now I am itchy EVERYWHERE…

A good day!

That's a nice looking bit o' carpentry there, and I say that as a wood-butcher/snob.

Thanks wat.

You’d probably be horrified to see my work. 1/16th (sometimes even an 1/8th) off here and there. But it worked. Plum, level, square.

I’m gonna paint the risers and put lattice on the sides. No need for railing cuz it’s below height.

This is an example of a very professionally done specimen! This is this mornings installment of morning Zen! The white you see on the tree has been induced by the grower. Peeling good wood with specialty tools and applying the sulphur Jin mix.

That is amazingly beautiful! It’s truly living art.

Ugh today’s project here is to sand the deck—it’s a fair size, and then two coats of tinted stain. Deck is 6 years old and every two years has to be done, royal pain. Hand sander

That's a Carpenter's Secret, where to hide the eighths. When you can do this, you will grow to be a man, my son.
