The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Talking about dangerous animals, few people here in Africa know which are the really dangerous ones. If asked, most would say lion, elephant, crocodile etc. When it comes to fatal attacks, the hippopotamus kills more people by far than any other animal. They are extremely grumpy, can move surprisingly fast for their huge bulk, and have huge teeth that can bite you clean in half. Yes they are herbivores, but for goodness sake keep your distance.

Productive day.

I finished off the deck. Added the stairs and trex decking. I really wanted to do a picture frame deck pattern but was pressed for time and just went for a traditional pattern. Still turned out nicely I thought.

Then after dinner, I took my lawn mower down to the farm (my neighbor lets me cut thru his field) and mowed the farm yard.

I did find a tick on me so now I am itchy EVERYWHERE…

A good day!

WOW! This looks beautiful! 😍😍

Be sure you look EVERYWHERE for more ticks! And watch for signs of Lyme Disease. They include:
Expanding area of redness at the site of the tick bite
Fever
Headache
Fatigue

If in doubt, see your Healthcare provider!

This is our cat. He’s a real weirdo.

He likes hanging out in the shower after we shower and getting wet. He attacks the water drops.

He likes broccoli, cashews, lettuce, purple asparagus and forsythia flowers. He doesn’t like canned cat food much, but he’s a really good mouser.

Yes. He has a little mustache. His name is Chaplin, like Charlie Chaplin.
He's so cute! I had a black cat named Charlie long ago when I had a little farmhouse. He was a GREAT mouser! And a sweet little lovebug! 😻😻

Noted! Steer clear of the hippos! 🦏

Years ago we took in a feral cat (lots of farm cats around here) that was pregnant. She had a litter of 6, in the house, on my birthday lol. Here are a few of the pics. We found homes for all and paired them up 😊

How cute are these babies! 😻😻

Yeah the one would always fall asleep on his back while I held him

House was a zoo! We had mama cat, her 6, and three cats of our own (which were her first litter and adults now)
My dog likes to sleep between my legs when I'm on the couch!

I had a Lab that was the same. One time I woke up with his back paws in front of my nose (I am a side sleeper) and him stretched out next to me, with his butt on the pillow lol
I had a GSD who jumped on the bed. I rolled over in my sleep and snuggled up to him not knowing it was the dog, not my partner. He was happily the little spoon to my big spoon! 🤣🤣🤣
