Just saw this on X. God I miss watching him play. We've never had a lot to cheer about in SD sports, but he was fun to watch.

One of the best pure hitters I ever seen,I know the Braves had a hard time getting him out back in the day.

Too bad he wasn't smart enough to get off tobacco though,hard habit to break I guess.

Oh and Michael King on the mound for SD tonight,got him in that Yankee trade he's pretty good usually.... 💯
 
Red Sox lose 2-1 as Devers gives the game away with a 2 run error.
 
About the Tigers, a good start but the wins are against poorer teams. And most are by one run. They are a couple more years away from being a very good team. For now, being competitive is ok.

Red Sox finish up their 10 game road trip to start the season at 7-3. I’ll take it and look forward to the home opener on Tuesday vs. the Orioles.

9th inning rally against a good Pirates team is encoraging that the Tigers may be a better team than I thought. But its only one game. The upcoming series with the Twins and Texas should tell us more about the team.

Crossing my fingers one of the boys in the minors can get us thru ... Sucks for Spencer. Also this having to come back from a 6 run first innning with Max has got to go away!

Winans was given 1st chance yesterday and got lit up so still searching.Elder,Smith-Shawver,Dodd,or they might try 1st round pick Waldrep.

In Miami tonight.
 
Well, my Guardians/Indians are 9-3 and in 1st place.
It's way to early in the season to get overly excited.
Shane is having Tommy John surgery and hopefully our offense can continue to keep showing up.
