I totally understand! I've struggled with my new scars also. Had a Whipple surgery in August and my scar is huge. It is already looking better than it did. But I still struggle. Good on you for your vulnerability. So, a little rant first if I may.
I'm not one to comment on others without being willing to contribute myself. That's just my belief. I don't hold it against anyone who feels otherwise.
That being said, I've been hesitant to post because I had heart surgery over the summer and was left with a foot long scar down my sternum. It ain't going away anytime soon so there's no better time than the present to share.
For a short time.
I'm so glad you sharedSo, a little rant first if I may.

Looking good! Medical scars are the battlexwounds of our day. Scars are proof that we lived & overcame. It makes your body look strong & interesting, like there's a story there. My spouse gets self conscious sometimes, he has a ton of scars from two bouts with cancer, multiple surgeries, etc. I think it makes him look hot AF, like a mother effing viking!!!!So, a little rant first if I may.

I've always thought scars are part of life. I have some ugly once myself but I have embraced them. ( I even joke that the guy who sew me up hopefully is working as a pathologist now.I totally understand! I've struggled with my new scars also. Had a Whipple surgery in August and my scar is huge. I appreciate it. I would tell anyone else the same. I'm sure I'll get better in time. It's just still a reminder of the fight I haven't won yet. The breast cancer scar doesn't even phase me anymore. This one's just a lot bigger.I've always thought scars are part of life. I have some ugly once myself but I have embraced them. I understand that it is more difficult for ladies to do so, but it shouldn't be. Every scar has a story and being older means that there is a history.
Don't take this as some persuasion to post pics, just a friendly post to say that we are a bunch with scars and they shouldn't bother us.
You're a mother fucking force, Sassy xxI appreciate it. I would tell anyone else the same. I'm sure I'll get better in time. It's just still a reminder of the fight I haven't won yet. The breast cancer scar doesn't even phase me anymore. This one's just a lot bigger.
But I appreciate the words. Thank you.![]()

Great share! Our scars or stretch marks or bruises or whatever we have, are art on our body that tell a story. I’m glad you are here to tell and share yours. So, a little rant first if I may.
