Do you think you could have written more? Is there a category you kept saying you were going to try and didn't? A bucket list type of accomplishment you didn't achieve, or the one story that nagged at you, but for whatever reason you never got to. Or...is it 'all good' in your eyes?

I'd just post elsewhere--and I will not have lost anything posted here. Nearly all of it is in the marketplace and thus retrievable if I wanted to spend the money, and all of it is scattered around on other story sites as well (and I have records of what is available where).

Two years in and I'm just getting started. I've done 50+ stories, but feel like there's a lot more to explore with writing. I've now written in every category except Novels, but there's still a lot I'd like to do with most of those categories. I'm getting to the stage where my apprenticeship is over and it's be a really pity to stop now (and I don't indend to).

I'm absolutely happy with my body of work so far. I'm sure once I've wrestled my depression into submission I might pick up writing again. So far, making horrible music comes a lot easier than putting words to virtual paper.

Still, I'm quite proud of my writing. Getting to finish something as massive as "Express Delivery" in about two weeks was a once-in-a-lifetime thing and the positive feedback on most of the "Mud & Magic" story arc was certainly nice. I wish I could have kept up my cadence in the second arc. Fuck depression.

Thank you for asking this question. I may have to stop publishing here, although I do not want to. The last two stories I submitted (including Chapter 6 of a story I have been writing for over a year) have been rejected. The reason? I was accused of using artificial intelligence to write my stories. I do not want to use this post to rant about this, but I do want to say how proud I am of what I wrote. I do wish I could write more. I would love to give my Heather series a proper conclusion. I would love to continue to write for Literotica.

Lastly, I would like to say that writing for Literotica has made me more creative and given me confidence in my writing. Literotica gives amateur writers like me an opportunity to live out their fantasies, and I do not take that opportunity for granted. I do hope the way they check for artificial intelligence changes. When it does, I would love to continue writing.

I would be pleased with what I've done, but not content to have stopped, because I have so many more ideas for stories I want to write.

I didn't write or publish a story here until I was over the age of 50, and I had gone through my entire adult life up to that point not having written a word of fiction. So that's my baseline. Considering that baseline, I'm very pleased--even startled--with what I've accomplished so far.

But I have many more stories to write, so if this was it I'd regret not having the chance to write more.

If I were to hang it up here--at this point, I haven't posted anything since last June--it wouldn't be because I'm unhappy with any aspect of writing. I enjoy writing. It would be because I'm unhappy with posting.

To be honest, I think about hanging it up probably every week, and then I also feel compelled to continue. I’m not sure about pride, but I think I’d at least be satisfied with what I’ve accomplished in only 2 years here. This is very much a part time gig for me. If I stick around, it might be only to develop my skills a bit more until trying to publish something “for real.”

Very happy with what I have up, flaws and all. Of course I could have written more, and intend to. If I don't ever get all the ideas I have for the Aces universe out, I'd be disappointed.

Not finishing Sisters of the Mists and filling in the big gap between my history stories and Danica/SOTM.

Slowly working toward both. Two more Darkni stories and then a Mindblind/Darkni story lead directly into Rage of a Goblin King, which is the first of two stories to fill that gap. Need to get out some history for Saj and Vladamir before they join up in Rage, followed by Geflon before the liberation of Egoria.

I'd prefer to get some of the planned stories in Magic of the Wood out, because there are some really neat characters coming of age a couple of stories forward in the timeline, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if Blessing was the last one. Same for the Ancient Peoples series.

I echo these exact same thoughts.
But, I really don’t know what the Literotica future holds for me. I recently completed my fourth significant story series and have only one more chapter to finish my Fifth—an appropriate stopping point for my pen name if that’s what I choose to do. That said, I think I’m as likely to write for 10 more years as I am to retire after finishing this last story chapter.
Only time will tell…

2) Having said that, I feel like I've only reached 60% so far. My writing is way better than before (my opinion) and I have a long list of story ideas I need to finish an explore. If I don't, it would bother me.

I have one more Chapter of Eve & Lucy to go, so I'd feel gutted if I left the characters (and readers) hanging on that one.

Aside from that, I have two more stories in that Universe that I really want to write to give some form of closure to all the characters I've become so invested in. So I'd be disappointed if I didn't get to write those.

I suppose it would all depend on why I stopped publishing here. Because I'd run out of steam? Because I'd been banned? Because I was driven away by nasty comments from readers? Because I'd found something else to do? Because I didn't have time to write anymore?

Overall, though, I can't imagine having too many regrets. Perhaps I'd miss the worship and adulation of my fans.

The stories I haven't finished yet are still waiting on my computer. I might finish them just to read to my wife, or find somewhere else to publish them. I might even become more serious about earning some money from my writing, erotic or otherwise.

Lit is fun, but it's not the only place for writers to express themselves.

I'm very pleased with what I've accomplished. In 19 months, I've submitted 27 stories, totaling 288,000 words. Aside from a single LW story, they have all been very well received by the readers. That's the goal, right? To entertain? I'd say I accomplished that. Thinking about it puts a smile on my face.

This is a strange confession, but I'm actually already done on Lit. I wrote the swansong last month and now I'm just going to empty out the pipeline.

Not because this place is broken or full of creeps or anything like that. I'm just ready to tackle new stories and I don't think they have a place here.

The saddest thing will be "killing off" the characters I've been living with now for several years, but I can't take 'em with me.

At my age, I'm probably going to pass (expire?) before I run out of ideas. I'm on three sites, and I'm trying to keep them distinct from each other as opposed to the cross-site mess I've got now.
