The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

for what its worth....check your interior light door switches, and interior lights....my folks had a car with a draw, turns out it had a central interior light on the roof....a wire rubbed through and was touching the metal, and that solved the problem....if you have a meter on the battery, and start pulling the fuses one at a time with somebody watching the meter, you may be able to track down what circuit is the issue....older cars are nice as they only have a dozen fuses
It may be the wiring harness. This is a good idea tho. Thanks for sharing that.
a 1970 to boot....a high compression 351 Cleveland! is the car all original?
Mostly. The carb caught on fire one day cruising down to asbury park. Luckily it was just down the street from the fire dept. Melted a bunch of wires and hoses and scorched the paint on the hood.

I put it back together w a nice Holley 4bbl carb and new intake manifold and fixed the wires and hoses.

Now I have a fire extinguisher in the car….

There is some rust developing in the wheel wells. Came original w all of the extras: 351C, roof rack, roof spoiler, AC (I removed it), lap belts and shoulder belts, and a rear facing jump seat. It supposedly had a magic tailgate that opens out AND down but I cannot seem to get it unlocked for swinging out. Only opens down. Built in Windsor Canada.

10 years ago we traveled to the NIH because her cancer is a rare form, and they had better equipment down there, as well as the best doctors in the world. They saved 80% of her kidney, but things took a bad turn, almost lost her and went through three weeks of hell. I was fine-mostly during it-but afterward it hit me and after a few months of not being able to shake it, I wrote a story about it for catharsis. It ended up winning a contest for that month.

I will read it. I wrote a poem published here about caregivers. https://literotica.com/p/caregiver-blues

I'm here to help you with your vocabulary. That's a FIVE syllable word! 😅🤣😅

I have beseeched the heavens for you and your help for the bulk of my adult life.

As long as we have to use these new words in sentences . . . .

It's Road Trip Monday. Forward, but not perambulating . . . .

;)

The other day my (almost) 4 year old grand daughter came up to me holding a small plastic, girlie coloured case. I asked her what it was and she cheerily told me that it was her princess make up kit.

Fast forward 30 minutes, and I am desperately trying to wash her make up off my face before going in to work. I got all off except for some glitter around the eyes, that stuff just would not come off. My coworkers had questions when I got to work…

I am dreading the day when she gets her nail kit
Glitter has amazing staying power! I'm ROTFLMFAO imagining a man walking in to work with glitter and traces of princess makeup on his face! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I use straight acetone to get glitter off my nails. DO NOT USE it near your eyes!!! ✨

The heavens ultimately decided to answer your prayers! I'm here now!

Gallivant away! 🤣🤣🤣

Oh dear that’s my plant (but way before my time)

Duly noted ty

Water, soap, scrubbing, nothing worked, even my extra exertions brought about by a sense of panic knowing I had to go to work soon didn’t help much

I truly hate glitter! I still have traces of it on a pair of pants I was wearing when I accidentally bumped into a sign at a high school football game 10 years ago!

I would double check any wires close to the carb, anything along the fire wall that could have maybe got warm, I assume your fire was towards the front end of the carb by the fuel inlet, it does not take much to drain a battery, it could be very simple

anything with a carb when I go to start it, I am always looking for fuel leaks or potential problems, the rubber hose is just not quality anymore and is prone to cracking, and any hose close to the coil or distributer needs to be checked or rerouted

Morning all.

The Mets metted. Only they can lose in the spectacular way that they did.

0-0 pitchers duel going into the 10th inning. Then an error lets the tigers have a base runner… and then the floodgates opened. the togers scored one run on a blunder, then another… then a three run homer. Then they meekly struck out and grounded out.

Have a good day all. Off to work!

I remember those days with my Tigers. The Tigers are winning with good fielding, pitching and baserunning, a huge improvement from previous years.
