It may be the wiring harness. This is a good idea tho. Thanks for sharing that.for what its worth....check your interior light door switches, and interior lights....my folks had a car with a draw, turns out it had a central interior light on the roof....a wire rubbed through and was touching the metal, and that solved the problem....if you have a meter on the battery, and start pulling the fuses one at a time with somebody watching the meter, you may be able to track down what circuit is the issue....older cars are nice as they only have a dozen fuses
Mostly. The carb caught on fire one day cruising down to asbury park. Luckily it was just down the street from the fire dept. Melted a bunch of wires and hoses and scorched the paint on the hood.a 1970 to boot....a high compression 351 Cleveland! is the car all original?
I put it back together w a nice Holley 4bbl carb and new intake manifold and fixed the wires and hoses.
Now I have a fire extinguisher in the car….
There is some rust developing in the wheel wells. Came original w all of the extras: 351C, roof rack, roof spoiler, AC (I removed it), lap belts and shoulder belts, and a rear facing jump seat. It supposedly had a magic tailgate that opens out AND down but I cannot seem to get it unlocked for swinging out. Only opens down. Built in Windsor Canada.
