I'm seeing a back surgeon in a few hours to schedule surgery for spinal stenosis. Has anybody had the minimally invasive surgery and did it work?
Be interested to hear about this procedure. I have very advanced spinal stenosis and some disc issues.

Manage it right now by stretching and occasionally some thc.

by occasionally do you mean lets wake'-n-bake, tap dingers on the truck mirror at lunchtime and eat a couple edibles before cooking supper? afaf 😎
Really occasionally. Like breakfast lunch and dinner. JK😂😂😂

I am a total lightweight and just started a few years ago.

So maybe once a week. Especially Saturday nights after working all day on our farm. My back w typically bother me, so I’ll take an edible about an hour before dinner, make dinner and then it hits me.

I smoke occasionally for ptsd episodes and/or insomnia.

It seems to work - I don’t take any other meds and at least in NJ, veterans get a 22.5% discount.

How did anyone arrive at 22.5%?

Is that because you have a Medical Marijuana Card and sales and excise taxes are waived? Or 22.5% after they are waived?

I find trips to be draining.

I'm hitting the road tomorrow night after work. 640 miles or so. I'll do about half, pull over for a nap (last one was 4 hours, which worked) and then pound out the rest of the journey. I'll get there early Friday morning, unload, take a nap, and then go to lunch to see some folks. Sunday coming back will be a straight shot. Long, but ever so worth it!!!

Damn. That’s a lot of driving.

I like driving, personally. Safe travels.

Safe trip and I hope the weather cooperates.

Thank you. I like driving, too. Xmas driving totalled 2300 miles or so. Six hundred miles a day is not a bad pace. Eight hundred is damned laborious any more.

Safe trip and I hope the weather cooperates.

Thanks for the kind wishes. The forecast looks promising.

I drove from north Carolina to Nevada in 3.5 days..... I wouldn't do that again.... but at the time it was quite the adventure

Safe travels. I much prefer driving over flying. Being a piece is self-sorting cargo is not my idea of a good trip.

A little different than stenosis
I have 3 bulging disks and had a nerve ablation on them last November the stabbing pain down my leg is 100% gone.
The other lower back pain went from a 6-7 to a 2-3 constantly its worse in the morning getting up. and standing is still an issue my time limit is to load or unload the dish washer pick one or take a brake.
I tried physical therapy for 2 months didn't help, started aquaerobics at the Y that seems to be helping better than the therapy did.

My music preferences reveals my age a bit. As a young teen drummer my favorite group was The Dave Clark 5. In high school I began to enjoy the different sounds of the Beatles, especially Abbey Road. In college my favorites were many, especially the WHO, Santanna, Fleetwood Mac, Buddy Holly, Moody Blues, Bruce Springsteen to name a few.

I am now revisiting jazz and blues by John Lee Hooker, B B King, Oscar Peterson etc.

No more LPs and very few CDs as I listen to all on Pandora. My son is going to teach me about making my own music list.
We have similar musical tastes.

I have a great CD called Riding With The King. It's Eric Clapton and BB King. I would not have thought those two would have gone together, but it totally works!
