The juvenile hysteria from the right-wing insurrectionists on this thread continues, perhaps exascerbated by a juvenile Presidential candidate's recent desperate comment that there will be a "bloodbath" if he loses the election again.

In other news, I tried a Minwax stain called, interesting enough, "Gunstock." How appropriate, right? It was lighter than my other choices in the medium tint range, so I took it. In application, it's a bit redder than the sample showed, but all in all, it's not bad. I like it well enough, so it's applied and rubbed and waiting to dry down for a bit of 600 grit and some tung oil. The dings in the stock are hardly noticeable, save for one that I get to live with.
