A Song for Everything

What model bass do you play, and who was your influence?

I got my first one at 17 for my birthday. Ibanez SR305DX. Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Godsmack were my top bands at the time, but Flea's licks were far too tempting. I recently bought a SR300E to start playing more punk and walking type riffs.
I prefer Fender Jazz 5 string bases. I have been playing 5 strings since the early 90’s. And I was always a fan of the sound and role of the bass, so I listened to lots of Motown, Larry Graham, Yes, Rush, really a ton of stuff. 😊😊😊

Have to temper all that punk and hard rock with something soft and melodic now and then. This is perhaps my favorite of Don McLean's, since "American Pie" got so overplayed on the radio.

I should probably warn you, I've made some adjustments to my Rancid station on Pandora so I've been in a deep punk/ska dive lately, so be prepared for a lot of that.
