Is trump? Is he shedding? That would be a waste of time if he dies before the election. He's really old and probably vaxed to the max. The shots have been causing all types of neurological damage. The shots could make him unable to speak. Late October would be a reasonable time to start noticing his speech or lack of it.
As I pointed out in my response, all your "independent" reasons for opposing Biden are GOP talking points, so despite your claims of thinking for yourself, I still stand by my original assessment. Whenever someone claims "both parties are the same" or "Trump and Biden are both awful" they always turn out to be a conservative pretending to be non-partisan in order to attack the Democrats.

So not liking either candidate is floundering and flailing - so I need to pick a republican like Trump or a Democrat like Biden to not waste your time? Ok tiger, no one asked for your time. *Dicknod*I distill the whole thing down to one simple question:
Did a person EVER vote for the rapey, racist, corrupt orange traitor?
If the answer is “yes”, then they are not worth my time to engage in discussing serious political or moral issues.
If a person is all over the place with their voting history and social stances, (even if they didn’t vote for the corrupt orange traitor) then they’re basically a circular argument waiting to happen when it comes to discussing serious political or moral issues, and thus, not worth my time either.
There has to be some logic and consistency to a persons worldview, or they’re just floundering and flailing about. - and they can do that all by themselves.
*nods*
David Rothkopf: “We’ve spent 40 billion, a tiny fraction of our 800 billion dollar defense budget, and we’ve destroyed half of the Russian army.I’m not going to have the bandwidth to argue with you as nauseam nor do it hi k you want to hear from me.
But why can’t you succinctly explain why we are spending billions to fund Ukraine? Just explain it like you would to a 10 year old. One thing I learned a long time ago from a very good lawyer who later became a very good judge that I clerked for was - most things in life can be explained simply to a 10 year old. Those that dismiss you or say it’s too complicated either don’t know it themselves, haven’t given it any serious thought, or don’t have the ability to.
I doubt you fall into the last category so all I ask is for some serious thought on this topic. Why are we so interested in backing Ukraine? What does that do for us in our now eighty plus year pissing March with Russia?
Do you really need a cite to tell you that inflation was near 10 percent after and during COVID? I found one for you. It says 9.1% in June 2022. It was a lot more in focused commodities areas but here - have at it.
“In just the past two months, overall inflation, measured year over year, has slowed from nearly 5% in April to just 3% now. Much of that progress reflects the fading of spikes in food and energy prices that followed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last spring. Inflation is now significantly below its peak of 9.1% in June 2022.”

Here is one that explains that groceries have inflated to 25% more in the last 4 years. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/02/02/grocery-price-inflation-biden/
I have nothing else to say about your sophomoric porn usage comment.
40 billion. Tiny US investment.Throughout threads all over this board, I am amazed that people don’t understand that this world engages in proxy wars all the time. Fighting them (terrorists) over there instead of over here and the subverting of the 2016 election all are proxy wars. But Putin’s history for annexation an our NATO allies telling us of grave concerns if Ukraine Falls is something that we should ignore and walk away from.
David Rothkopf: “We’ve spent 40 billion, a tiny fraction of our 800 billion dollar defense budget, and we’ve destroyed half of the Russian army.
This tiny US investment has probably advanced our national security interests more than any other in the past 80 years.”

40 billion. Tiny US investment.
Give $40 billion to the U.S taxpayers.
Proxy war my aging ass.
These wars line the pockets of the military contractors, services and ammunition alike.
I’m still not hearing why. Why do we need to keep Russia in check? Why do we care about Europe?Honestly though we have much bigger taxpayer losses through wealthyfare subsidies. Oil. Corporate farms. Prisons. Charter schools. Tax breaks for the rich. And much much more.
Aiding Ukraine not only does damage to Russia but also helps keep Russia in check. Europe does not need an advancing Russia. Nor do we.

Also it’s not the 40 billion but the precedent that we will now be paying for every weakling country that Russia engages in war with.
Btw, I agree that tax breaks for rich, and the subsidies make little sense, and the trickle down theory doesn’t work. The tax code is a shit show. And the states are simply using their own tax incentives to move commerce into their states at the expense of the larger good.
Maybe you should know because you have grown men and women with a lot more resources than you that are not buying your argument in congress.Europe is an ally.
Europe is a trade partner.
Unless we radically restructure the world, our economy and the nature of political alliances of the world we need Europe. We need a secure Europe.
Honestly, I'm not sure how and why you don't understand this.
I’m only hostile because it’s coming out of our pockets. And you obviously seem fine with your federal money going wherever the government tells us it needs to go without must justification. The reality is that if Ukraine prevails - a thing much more likely with US aid than without - they will need international aid to rebuild.
I'm not understanding why you are so hostile to it.
I can Answer this for you by repeating the sentiments expressed by President Biden earlier this month. The United States is a part of NATO. The United States honors its treaties and supports its allies. Article 5 of the NATO treaty is the glue that binds. The one and only time it was invoked was, wait for it… when the United States was attacked on 911.I’m still not hearing why. Why do we need to keep Russia in check? Why do we care about Europe?

But seriously, why would our trade alliances with Europe suffer in the short term or long term if Russia annexes Ukraine. Didn’t Russia just do that with Belarus and before that Crimea? Why wasn’t Belarus or Crimea panhandling the US? Crimea happens on Obama’s watch, btw. Where were the European Trade alliance talks then?
