It's a huge state. Not every area will have humidity. Just like California, there are desert areas. West Texas is nothing like East Texas. But, I could say the same about Michigan. Or north Georgia vs south Georgia. Or Tennessee. Or Illinois.

Almost everyone I know has escaped California so I have very little holding me back. What our dictator did during Covid was the final straw for many, but most of my family and friends were already planning their exits.
I'd definitely stay out of the Dallas/FW area. Traffic is crazy and their drivers are almost as bad as Californians. Not quite, but I think they're in competition with each other for "worst" title.
