Day 25 a song you skip

Now, donโ€™t get me wrong, I like RHCP, but back before terrestrial radio died in my life it felt like every hour KROQ would play one RHCP song, one Nirvana song and one Sublime song. Like well into the 2010โ€™s! It was ridiculous. Add to that that I think every RHCP song from 2000 on is basically the same song and Iโ€™m just out when they came on.

Holy shit. Sex and carrying on is not anything new, although we all think it was invented in the 60s or something, but that song even shocked me. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Damn. You should get extra points!
there's a reason it was called the roaring 20's ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Things got too serious when the depression hit, then prohibition, and the war. The 60's were just a picking up where the 20's left off!

Day 25: A song that you skip or change the station when it comes on

Whitney Huston - I Will Always Love you
I like the song but in this version it's just to much!

I just posted the same... Minus I can't stand it in any version.

Everyone with synesthesia/chromesthesia has sounds they cannot abide on multiple levels. For me it's Alanis Morissette's voice and her signature high pitched yodel she insist on doing at the end of a phrase. It's like a blinding white ice pick to the base of my spine. I even saw her in concert because the tickets were free, and Garbage was opening. I needed a midchlor tablet by the end of it.

You Oughta Know-Alanis Morissette

You got to see Garbage for free? Worth the headache I'm sure.

They've spent the last 30ish years trying to write another "Under The Bridge", and they're never going to recreate it.

Flea's bass lines are about the only interesting thing RHCP has going for them.

She's up there with Oasis imo.

They were AMAZING. Floor sears, up close, and one of the few bands I've seen that is even better live than recorded. Absolutely, ๐Ÿ’ฏ worth the headache!
I'm insanely envious. Shirley Manson is one of my biggest crushes. Definitely in my Top 5 Scottish redheads. Right up there with Karen Gillan, Rose Leslie, and Groundskeeper Willie.

As for songs I skip, this is the only answer:

Now I can't wait to see what kind of internet ads I start getting now that I have a Lynyrd Skynyrd search on my computer.

As an older guy, I find it not only Rude, as it's aptly named, but disrespectful.
My problem was this: the guy asks for the father's blessing, dad says "no, I will not bless this" and the guy is "hey, why you gotta be so rude?" He wasn't rude, the answer was "no."

I'm so sorry guys... I think you misunderstood the prompt. These are songs you don't want to listen to. Not: A song where you turn up the volume when it is on.
I like all of these songs. But also, I have heard all of these songs to death. So I may at least flip through the stations to see if anything better is on before coming back ๐Ÿคฃ

"American Idiot," Green Day.

Well, anything by Green Day. Green Day have never written a single compelling song with anything close to an original melody or hook. Everything is borrowed from someone better. They are cookie-cutter music at its most commercial while claiming to be the opposite. Lyrically they are incredibly shallow with a feigned punk and protest ethic. This song is a perfect example of that.

I hated listening to enough of this song to get the link. This is how much I love this thread and all of you.

(And now I am listening to Dead Moon).
