Trumps locks up another voting block

Fail to see how this is necessarily a black thing.

But then, I never understood racial sterotypes like that. For example, I always found claims like chicken and watermelon being at all a black thing confusing as hell. Some of my fondest memories in youth are of hitting the beach with my family, ice cream buckets filled with chicken drumsticks and watermelon.

Maybe you could explain this to Mr. Arroyo?

So, instead of bothering to learn the historical context of those stereotypes - and it is extensive - you use your own experience to dismiss them.

Everybody: no need to study the first chapter on Majority Privilege; the above post will do. 🙂

Try harder.

Since the News Story was aired on FAUX News, oh excuse me Focnews, it must be totally right. .....

So cringy and it just goes on and on with no self awareness to stop from anyone on the panel or cut to a commercial from anyone in the booth.

Democrats are guilty of making the same asinine assumption about voting groups too. Look at how they just assume they have the Latino vote locked up just because of Trump and the Republicans' demeanor towards immigrants. No, Latino voters just can't have any other issues or concerns on their minds than immigration policy.

I respectfully disagree. This is demeaning and a racist dog whistle. You’re describing a complaint that many voting blocks of the Democratic party have issue with. Black females, Latinos, climate activists, women’s rights advocates, etc. I am not downplaying your beef. The party certainly needs to do better, but there’s a path to accomplishing constituent needs within the Democrats. I do not see that existing for said voters within the Republican Party.

It is widely accepted that ex-Cuban immigrants particularly in Florida are Republican voters mostly as a result of being anti-Communist. They vote as far right as possible. This is one of the reasons why Florida has flipped in the last few elections as the number of ex-pats increased.

You should ask all your black friend 😉

I'm just saying that thinking any voting block as monolithic is a mistake everyone in politics tends to make.
