Interesting view.

For myself I think there's more at play than you mention because the interaction between men and women is complex. There's the pervs, weirdos, wackos, and general all around assholes who can't take a hint to deal with on top of all of that.

My post was in referencecto the politics forum, specifically. There's so much more to the interactions in general than what I posted, I'm just not willing to waste my breath.

This forum is the same as every other forum as far as makeup of the participants goes.

I believe part of the issue is that women act a certain way to show disinterest in the hoard of undesirable potential mates who are jumping up and down and waving banners which all say "PICK ME!!!"

That sort of methodology doesn't work online because you cannot see someone physically turn away and give you the virtual cold shoulder. Thus the hoard is not rejected in a way they can understand. That leads them to even greater shows of attention seeking. Confrontation works but that's not something one is looking for when browsing for sexual gratification. The only other option is to go silent and lurk.

Of course as a man I can only see it from my male POV and for a woman the entire situation may be perceived differently.

I would venture to say a political board on a porn site....hmmmm not where I would go for political information.

Not saying there won't be valid points and arguments, but I think I would rather debate on a non porn political forum. Would probably have a larger representation of women for one. I would think here woman to men is 100-1.

Why? Are sex seekers and living an alt lifestyle somehow not compatible with politics? It doesn't seem that way to me because there are many here who are versed in politics and its machinations who provide insightful analysis and commentary regardless of whether they're male or female.

I don’t like to argue, so I avoided the Politics Board for years and just posted sex stuff on the rest of the site. Then I realized that I could “argue” by bluntly stating what I believed in, and leave it at that.

Although I often agree with some of the guys here, I think even the liberal ones like to argue for fun. They enjoy the back and forth banter and “scoring points” against “the other side”.

It just makes me feel queasy.

Women make up 51% of the US population yet only hold 29% of the seats in Congress and only 24% of state governors are women. That’s a shame.. its something that doesn’t make sense to me. I think and hope the percentages would be close to 50/50.
