I saw the waiting period thing. Hmmm, maybe. Meanwhile, we have some stuff on the books for which we could seriously step some enforcement on.

Wat will outlive the lot of you . . . .

If he does sign it, like as not it'll wind up in the 4th circus.
It looks like the "banning it all" bill isn't going to make it out of the senate committees out here. The Red Flag rewrite is up in the air so it's just the 7 day wait so far.

Incremental encroachment seems to be most effective. Boiling the frog, so to speak.

It’s fucked up that people can and are legally walking the streets openly carrying assault rifles (open carry pistols in a holster is disconcerting enough).

It’s also fucked up that peoplle with certain skin "pigmentations" will definitely be treated "differently" by law enforcement. (I suspect even a white guy walking the street brandishing an AR is going to be reported by someone - how the interaction between the police and the individuals varies by skin "pigmentation" when a confrontation occurs is THE issue)

Frederick Douglass

Though the exact date of his birth is unknown, he chose to celebrate February 14 as his birthday, remembering that his mother called him her "Little Valentine.”

“What, to the American slave, is your 4th of July? … a day that reveals to him … the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim. To him, your celebration is a sham … your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery … There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices, more shocking and bloody, than are the people of these United States, at this very hour.”

YOUR thread is entertaining at times, but at other times, like this, it is importantly informative, and thought provoking.

Thank YOU for this thread.

What people expect to happen is always different from what actually happens. From this comes great disappointment; this is the way the world works.

600 overkill is aptly named. He probably picked that because you can't get a Barrett with a classic Walnut stock. :)

For everyone else who cares for friends and family and has concerns for the safety of people they will never meet - please come here and share today a joke, story, or anecdote about the day or what it means to you. Happy Valentine’s Day everybody! 😘🥰❤️🥰😘

This post is an interesting thought experiment. It does not glorify a weapon of destruction and it does not demean the memory of those murdered at Parkland. Overall this gets the thumbs up. 👍
Good job, wat!

A mature person is one who does not think only in absolutes, who is able to be objective even when deeply stirred emotionally, who has learned that there is both good and bad in all people and in all things, and who walks humbly and deals charitably with the circumstances of life, knowing that in this world no one is all knowing and therefore all of us need both love and charity.

I plan to be here awhile. I’m comfy being viewed as dumb, irritating and childish. I walked through a cow field and I’ve placed my shit stained boots on your coffee table. I plan to continue being the bane of your existence.
