All this talk of cataracts while i'm trying to get mine done. Left eye is totally occluded but the right eye cataract is below the sight line (? is that right so i can see out of it). I had done all the pre-surgical stuff and had an appt but the surgeon damaged his arm the week before my appt. They said they didn't know how long it was going to be so recommended i find another Doc. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH
Ooh! Bummer! Ask the office to refer you to another ophthalmologist. They should send over all your records so you don't have to repeat things.

It's 2:30am and I should have been long asleep hours ago. Need to be at school by 8am to run (I'll walk quickly or job very slowly) a 5K. F my world. Tomorrow is going to suck if I ever get to sleep.

Nurses are simply amazing. I one billion percent respect Nurses to the fullest.

I heart:
First Responders
Military
Nurses
Teachers
and more.

Wish I was stronger and cooler to be like them. I'll never be THAT cool. All I do is work at a H.S. (not as a Teacher) in Athletics. It's fun. I enjoy it. Most of the kids respect / like me. It's all good. Just wish the pay was more.
Anyone who works with kids is definitely cool! It takes a lot to relate to and get respect from those hormonal young ones! Props to you!

My coolness level doesn't compete w/ the level you have. You're level is out of the park. I'm just me. Nothing special. Respect is earned. If they can't respect my simple requirements, then I won't bend over backwards to help them out. It's not my fault the kiddo's need this or that. It is fun tho walking down the halls and getting random ^5s. I'll be talking to someone and a person walking by won't even say a word, just get a ^5. That's pretty cool.

About me, I retired from the public health professsion as a water quality professional 9 years ago. I began consulting and a career to help make delicious meals for my younger lovley wife. I have always respected and cherished nurses and others on the front lines of public health. I am glad I found this forum.

When it's graduations time, I'll work my scheduled shift 9a-5p to go home and sleep for 2 hrs and then go back to work and work 9p-5a. Most I did that was 6 days straight. Gotta do whatever it takes to protect the school from Senior pranks and all. Sleep is over rated.

I wish I had a beuatiful lady to coax me back to her bed. I have always been an ealy riser. So here I am. I do love naps 😊
I love naps also. Recently, though, they've really started messing up my night sleep. A nap is now the kiss of death for that. 🙄🙄

Every time I got to bed, I have to have the TV on for back round noise. Other wise I just lay there hearing the ringing from my ears. What I hate the most is when I put on a movie I just need to fall asleep to and end up watching the whole darn movie. I'll start off watching it until I get tired or bored from it and crash.

It's very cool! Shows the level of respect they have for you!

I taught HS for one year as part of an experimental program. I wrote my name on the whiteboard the first day and told the kids they could call me by my first name or as Ms. ___. Some of the kids were so stoked to be able to call me Lilianna! They'd see me in the hall, call out my name, and high-five me! I loved it but the principal took a dim view. 🙄😅

I am now a short sleep cycle person in part because of BPH. So, I sleep deeply in 3 hour shifts and typically can fall back to sleep. When taking a nap either I set an alarm for no more than 45 minutes or drink coffee or tea before the nap. The caffeine works well to wake me up, so I do not nap long.

Last cpl weeks, I've been trying to drink less soda. Not sure it's helped any. Just want to be a little more healthy of a person. Starting to feel over weight. Lately my go to drink at home or school is Arizona Iced Tea: Watermelon. It's so good. It's a 16 oz. can for only .99. I could drink the whole can but I just sip at it. My luck, it's full of sugar.

It only has 19 grams of sugar and 16 grams of added sugar. I feel so much better now. (FML).

4:26 Early riser when I should sleep in on a Saturday. Argh. I can't get back to sleep so sipping coffee. Any other insomniacs or early risers?
I occasionally have burst of insomnia. Knock wood, I’ve been pretty good the last year or so. But I have my moments.

I got a lot of good ideas from this thread on the how to page:
https://forum.literotica.com/threads/how-to-sleep-better.1578439/

Best advice I got was to simply go to the bathroom the moments I woke up. It seemed to relax me a bit and it helped me.

Good luck!!

I just posted some good tips I got for sleeping 👆. Maybe some of them will help.

I’m no expert but tv and bedtime is “supposed to” be avoided. Same with phones and laptops, bcz of blue light.

We listen to music falling asleep - my wife has ringing in her ears too. (Tinnitus)

Good luck, maybe some of the ideas will help.

Thanks. I used to listen to music but when i'd do that, I'd lay in bed thinking about things (What happened that day / what's going to happen the next day). Then I'd start stressing and wind up w/ a headache. That's another issue I have.

FML . . . I'm going to get less then 3 hrs of sleep cause it's after 4a and I need to be up by 7a.

nighttime sleep anxiety is a bitch.

Happens to me occasionally. I use breathing exercises, sometime yoga stretches to get me focused (Altho that can also sometimes wake you up more and stimulate you).

Sometimes I try to redirect my thoughts.

Good luck.

That's why I turn on a movie and don't think about things. Just try to enjoy the sounds or events. Just helps turn off my brain until something exciting or LOUD happens. LoL.
