Ditto! Both are great but I haven't had any for a while. I bought some pear drops today and got six in a packet for £1.20.

I feel cheated. I'm going to ring The Guardian and complain.

There was a shop over the road from my school and we'd go there in dinner time and buy them by the quarter.
I used to like toffee bon bons too

Over in Oswaldtwistle by us they have the world's biggest Pear Drop and it's really manky because it's been there since 1983

I wasn't a fan of clove rock at all! Aniseed too.

They still have Rhubarb and Custard here. We have a small shop here called Granelli's and they stock a lot of sweets that you just can't get in many places now. It's like a little Aladdin's Cave in there. I'll go there for my next fix of Pear Drops.

Toffee bonbons were amazing.

There was a small newsagents on the estate I grew up, I used to get a bag of sweets for 10p. AND WE WERE GRATEFUL.......
