Same goes for AI.

Funny you should mention that. I had a conversation about it just this morning with the landlady. She said, yeah, and Sarah Conner.

We're just not smart enough not to think that we're that fucking smart. And we ain't humble enough to "get it."

I hit some kind of pay thing more than a few paragraphs into it, and I'm not subscribing this week. But still.

The story of Babel is the best metaphor I have found for what happened to America in the 2010s, and for the fractured country we now inhabit. Something went terribly wrong, very suddenly. We are disoriented, unable to speak the same language or recognize the same truth. We are cut off from one another and from the past.

It’s been clear for quite a while now that red America and blue America are becoming like two different countries claiming the same territory, with two different versions of the Constitution, economics, and American history. But Babel is not a story about tribalism; it’s a story about the fragmentation of everything. It’s about the shattering of all that had seemed solid, the scattering of people who had been a community. It’s a metaphor for what is happening not only between red and blue, but within the left and within the right, as well as within universities, companies, professional associations, museums, and even families.

Many people might say that it'll get worse before it gets better. I'm not so sure that it's going to get better.

Still curious/interested in that lightweight low/no recoil system for the AR. I decided that, piece at a time, I'll assemble the parts needed. This morning, we started with the lightweight bolt carrier assembly.

This might bear some research, too:

Always liked these, too. The 7.64x54R version would make as much sense as any caliber available except maybe for an aught six, but these are likely more plentiful.

The only issue is single source. I do like their gas port setup but it would require mill work for an off the shelf barrel.

Weak response from the resident keyboard militia man. Maybe Hitch or Chobby can come up with something more potent.

Yeah, because thinking (and with it, reading) is very scary. And perhaps a tune-up in the sarcasm identification department. But, wait, don't do any of that. Just keep being the fear-filled little sad cunt you are.

Oh, January 6!!!

She's a liar. And Colin hit the nail right on the head, she's not interested in the populace, she's only interested in herself and her power.

That level of Fear seems to run rampant. Miladies doth protest too much.

Didn't I see some jeenyus say that Texas would have all its firearms taken? This video is wrong. Texas is #2:

As I've said before, "Any government that does not trust it's citizens to be armed is unworthy of trust itself."

IIRC, the whole Clinton bill thingie didn't do what they wanted and also resulted in that whole Contract with 'Murrika thing. Kind of a bitch-slap. Truth is, most of that shit is rhetoric because they have no fucking idea in Hell what they want to do and how to go about it.

Actually they DO know what they want to do, they're just being rocked on their back feet by the blow back. The upper echelons of the Neo-Communists are well aware of why the 2nd amendment exists, hence their effort to disarm the populace.
