Power is out (estimated early afternoon before it's back), the gutter is hanging down outside my bedroom window (not a euphemism), but at least the garden fence is ok.

The heating was on last night until about 10.

My boots are going to give me trenchfoot. They're horrible.

But at least it's only windy today.

I used kitchen roll in the boots overnight, but wtf is spinning a washing machine?

Put your clothes on a spin cycle to get excess water out them. Then hang on the radiator.
Boots upside down on top of a radiator too. Once the paper soaks up part of the water.
