Did Haley just win the election?

You are right about that however, I think the cult is a small portion of the party.. Maybe 10-15%. I think many are are tried of the craziness that is Trump and are looking for someone else.. But will vote for Trump because he's the frontrunner in the primaries..
You are way off in your estimate of the pecentage of Republicans who drink Trump's Kool Aid. Polls consistently indicate that over 60% of them beieve his lies about the 2020 election being stolen from him.

But what percentage of that 60% are like "Right"guide and BabyBoobs, etc, here on the Lit PB, who will SAY the election was stolen, and lots of other RWCJ bullshit, until the day they die, while knowing they are just gaslighting for effect???

I would guess it’s about 50% of that 60%.

*nods*

Trump has a ways to go before he pins down the nomination there are at least twenty more primaries to go before we can say who has the nomination pinned down.
Oh, really? Barring being bumped off . . .

Depending on the polls you read between 30-70% of republicans believe Trump won the 2020 election or at the very least the 2020 elections were rigged in some way. However, now that DeSantis has withdrawn it looks like it will be Trump... I was hoping against hope it would be anyone but Trump..

Now I wonder should we should try to guess who Trump's running mate will be. Trump is morbidly obese and senile so there is a good chance he won't live out his term maybe so we should be looking at VPs instead of presidents.. To at least have an idea what policies will we be up against for the next few years if Biden doesn't win..

More nonsense from you. I have never said the election was stolen

(Quoted for posterity and irony)

BabyBoobs is displaying their senility and lack of reading comprehension again - OR BabyBoobs is attempting to gaslight people again…

😑

BabyBoobs obviously (purposefully) failed to grasp what “and lots of other RWCJ bullshit” entails. - Also: It’s quite interesting that BabyBoobs cut out the part of the comment that contained that phrase when they used the quote function…

🤔

Ironically, this is a perfect example of a RWCJ idiot knowing exactly what the truth is, but intentionally propagating their bullshit.

😑

👉 BabyBoobs 🤣

As Lazaran said, a lot of them probably don't really believe that. They're just toeing the party line because it makes them feel like they're in with the cool kids.

Of course, there's no way to know for sure how many of them are lying and how many really buy it. But odds are not all do.

On January 20 Nikki Haley openly questioned whether Donald Trump is mentally capable of serving as president again. Referring to ...reserved for the Commander and Chief not senators..
Tim Scott doesn't think so. He's even going to get married because, you know, a Veep should be...

Unfortunately, for the hateful Left, it's going to be a traditional marriage.

He doesn't want to be the Bud Light™ that sinks the ticket...

The percentage of gas-lighters is irrelevant to the real reason for their cult membership status. They belong to the cult because of their fears of diversity and social change.

As cult members, they will support their perceived "strong man" no matter what. Even if Trump is convicted in multiple cases and even if he loses the nomination, they will still support their embodiment of fear and hate.

The GOP has comitted to Trump to the same degree that the Nazis committed to Hitler. Haley has an extremely difficult path to become President as a Republican.

I think Trump will personally pick his running mate--and will do so on the basis of who would walk into hell for him. I think, like the Palen choice, it will be a choice that works against him with the general electorate.

One note of Hope.

Kentucky went with Beshear (D) over the Cultist Bevins because even the voters in a Red State could see what damage the Cult did.

Kentucky stayed with Beshear (D) over the Cultist Cameron because even the voters in a Red State appreciate good work for the people.

Hopefully voters in other Red States will appreciate Joe's good work for the people.

Haley can't beat Trump or Biden. As someone said, she is 5 inch heels and clinched teeth. Not very inviting to voters on a national scale.

On the other hand, back in the real world, what we have is 2 senile old men running for the Oval Office, one of which will likely get elected. With that said however, I'm not disappointed in either of them, they can run for whatever office they want. What I am deeply disappointed in is the people who support and vote for them. Over 335 million people in this country, and this is the best we can come up with to lead us? Really?

They will both be over 80 years old when they are in the White House. How many 80 year old men do you know who are in control of their mental faculties well enough to lead a country such as ours?
I think if 45 weren't the candidate that Haley would beat Biden.

While I know very little about the political situation in Kentucky, generally one cannot tell the overall political leaning of a state by whom it elects as governor.. For example Kentucky has voted overwhelmingly red in presidential elections since 1860 with a few notable exceptions: Carter, Gore, Clinton… So I’m doubtful that because they recently elected Beshear (D) is an indication they will not vote for Trump in 2024. But I’m with you in counting your blessings where ever you find them, just not hopeful.

Another example of having a democrat as governor and voting republican nationally is my state of Alabama. No one would argue Bama isn’t a deep red state however, since 1960 we have had nine democrats as governor verses only five republican governors. While we have had a democrat as governor 66% of the time there is little doubt Alabama will vote for Trump. I’m not convinced the party of the governor of a state is an indicator of how that state will vote in a presidential election.

Yes, is the sad situation we have put ourselves in there are 160-170 million Americans over 35 and Biden and Trump are the best we can do? Its a sick sad world.

Dude, 'Bama had Wallace, a far worse human being than the Giant Orange Toddler.

It isn't a question of who can beat Trump or Biden. There is war in Ukraine, war in the middle east, war in Gaza, and China is threatening to invade Taiwan. This is exactly how World War II started. The question is, who is strong enough and mentally sound enough to lead this country for the next 4 years? Who do you want to have access to our nuclear codes?

If these regional wars should be allowed to escalate into a World War, some nut job out there is going to push the button. And there is nothing that nut job in North Korea would rather do than start a nuclear war. In his feeble mind, he would have assured in place in history.

If that thought doesn't frighten you, do some research/reading about what was left in the aftermath the 2 atomic bombs dropped in Japan in 1945. In 1945, only 2 atomic bombs were in existence, but today, they number in the thousands, and the smallest is a hundred times more powerful than either of the 2 in 1945.

Only Trump, Biden or Haley have any real chance of getting elected. Do you really think either of the 3 have the strength or mental capacity to lead this country in the next 4 years?

Just my opinion, but I think the voters in this country should pull their head out of where the sun don't shine, and take good look at the real world we live in today.
I think everyone takes a good look at the world and says WTF.. That has been going on since the dawn of mankind…

Yes there are wars in Ukraine, and middle east, and in Gaza, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg there are wars in the Sudan that make Gaza look like a school yard brawl, last year there were 25 other wars that have each lead to deaths of at least 5K each year why do people ignore those conflicts? The conflict in Myanmar started in 1948 and is still on going killing 10K+ a year why wasn’t that one on your list.. Wars in the Maghreb region of North Africa are killing 10K+ a year since 2002 yet they go under the radar.. We as human-beings are tribal. That is our biggest flaw and leads to most of our problems, and why people like Trump can obtain such a hold on others.

Somehow mankind has avoided nuclear war for the last 70 years hopefully that streak will continue.. Will some day in the future will nuclear weapons be banned or become obsolete we can hope. But given mankind has never embraced to wisdom of Jesus, Mohamed, Buddha or even the less divine like Gandhi, Thoreau, MLK, Ghaffar Khan, or Malala I’m not optimistic.

To be honest the thought of nuclear annihilation doesn’t frighten me I made my peace with that 60 years ago in October of 1962. When Kennedy came on TV and gave an ultimatum to the Russians I was sure I and everyone and everything I knew would be vaporized before day break. When our school handed metal dog-tags so our young bodies could be IDed in case of a nuclear attack you come to terms with it.. Nowadays I have come to terms with diabetes and cancer its just a fact of life.. It does no good to fear such things.. Do what you can to avoid them and do what you can to cope with them. Being frightened is a waste of time..

Of those running for office Trump and Biden seem to be the only choices we will be given which sucks but that the cards we are dealt. I think neither one of them have the strength or mental capacity to lead this country in the next 4 years. That is why I suggested it maybe time to look at who they choose as VPs because their VPs may end up running the country.

But all this is beyond the scope of this forum and probably beyond politics.. We are venturing into philosophy and metaphysics..

Dude, 'Bama had Wallace, a far worse human being than the Giant Orange Toddler.
Mmmm no Wallace never called for the execution of those who disagreed with him as Trump has done. Wallace never said he'd close down newspapers and TV stations that spoke out against his policies. Wallace never said he wanted to raise a secret police force to arrest and jail his opposition. These are things Trump has advocated. Wallace never advocated overthrowing the government.. Wallace never had/inspired his followers to rig an election or refused to admit defeat. That to me that is far worse than insisting on separate bathrooms, schools, lunch counters and water fountains.. Wallace was bad but Trump is far worse.

Wallace wanted to suppress black folks Trump wants to suppress anyone who is against him..

I don’t disagree with any of that ^.
