Me too. Newcomer to VA and am thoroughly loving the area. The battlefields, downtown Fredericksburg, Culpeper, and the Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful, especially in fall.

Oh yes, it's amazing here. I love it. Only one other state I love as much or more is Tennessee.

We're kinda snowed in here. That is, they haven't plowed the street in front of my house yet. Skipped church today (yeah, I dabble).

I like the entire region - Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia, West Virginia…Every summer I take off on a 3 to 4 week motorcycle trip. Because I’m originally from California most of my trips have been through the western states. Now I’m getting to explore the spectacular parts of the southeast and mid Atlantic. Did a fun short 3 day trip in August to Charleston, WV, then down to Bristol, then back home to Spotsy. I’m thinking of heading to the Outer Banks and explore that area next summer.

The kids and I are headed to the OBX in May, again. It was my parent’s favorite place to go. So sis and I set them free off of Avon Pier in 2021.

A tip of the hat to our friends from the “ Great White North “. Lived in the Buffalo area my whole life till I retired in 2017 & moved here…No Lake Effect. Made many a trip across the Peace Bridge ( especially pre 911). One summer we did the 1000 Islands & did a trip to Fort Henry on the shore of Lake Ontario, had a splendid time. Even listed to radio broadcasts of AAA baseball games between the Bison’s & Lynx for a few years. Continued safe travels.

A good friend of mine from college retired to OBX with her husband a few years ago and they have a beautiful home overlooking the water. My wife and I spent a night there while driving to VA. Didn’t get to see much of the area on that trip but from what I did see, it has a nice laid back vibe.

Oh yeah, it really is. We love going there.
