George W Bush and Obama had Iran under control until "Orange Hair" fucked it up, and tore up a peace treaty with Iran that we had in place. And now the same said supporters of "Orange Hair" are wondering why Iran is so gung ho about getting weapons of mass destruction, and wringing their hands about what to do, and of course are blaming it all on,, let's say,...someone other than "Orange Hair." The whole logic of this escapes me, but some people's opinions aren't logical.
 
What the deplorables don't get is this: to the extent that overseas troublemakers behaved themselves under Trump, it was not because they were cowed by his resolve or anything like that. It was because, although they are evil, they're mostly not stupid, and they knew what a loose cannon Trump was. And in the case of Putin at least, he was just biding his time until Trump could get re-elected and follow through on his talk about withdrawing the US from NATO. Then, of course, it would have been a lot easier for him to take over Ukraine, not to mention most of the rest of Eastern Europe.

Texas on Wednesday refused a demand from President Joe Biden's administration to give Border Patrol agents access to a section of the border the state blocked the federal government from accessing last week.

The letter of refusal from Texas's attorney general, Ken Paxton (R.), came in response to a demand from the Department of Homeland Security general counsel Jonathan Meyer that the Texas National Guard cease and desist its occupation of a 2.5-mile stretch of the southern border that includes Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, a highly trafficked area for crossings.

"Rather than addressing Texas’s urgent requests for protection, President Biden has authorized DHS to send a threatening letter through its lawyers," Paxton wrote. "But Texas has lawyers, too, and I will continue to stand up for this State’s constitutional powers of self-defense."

Meyer had argued in his Sunday letter that Texas violated the Constitution and impeded the federal government's ability to detect border crossings and apprehend migrants entering the country illegally.

Why isn't it Texas ' radicals pushing us to Civil War.

There's legislation in congress to address border security, but the Republicans won't get behind it despite their hissy fits in the media and campaign events about its dire urgency because they don't want to give Biden a win during an election year. So I guess the border crisis isn't so bad or they just really don't care about securing the border at all.

Because Texas is occupying ground which belongs to Texas. They're not trying to throw the US government off of US government property, they're defending thiers from that tactic.

Yes, through their inherent weakness and incompetence they are failing the United States and putting our people at risk.

Democrats don't know the difference between fantasy and reality, so that's why when they develop policy and try an apply it everything turns to crap. They are out of tune with the real world.

Strong "men" is the answer as it has been all down through history. Weak emotionally conflicted people like the social menagerie employed by the Biden administration are no match for real men with evil intent, not in a confined space, not in the street, or anywhere else in the World.
