Wat's Guns-N-Stuff Thread

I know the feeling.

I shall light the josh to sooth their mental anguish and pray for their ability to think.

You are not now nor have you ever been an ally. The fact is you are making such a big stink over my saying that I find destructive tests like that stupid and that I don't have the money to destroy firearms like that. I don't care if he is willing to ruin a multi-thousand dollar gun, no matter how fucking stupid it is. I never said anyone should intervene, let alone the government. So try to pay attention ya fucking drone.

Now I am fucking done with this topic and will not respond to anymore of your childish rantings.
I hit the wrong reply button and quoted you instead of the person I intended to quote. All of which could have been easily cleared up last night...............but wasn't. Too bad.

TH!
DO NOT ACCEPT THIS LAME EXCUSE!

Haha! Chobs, you do know there's a time stamp.
How does one carry on mistakenly arguing back and forth with the wrong person for close to 2 HOURS??? 🤷‍♀️

Trouble in ammosexual paradise continues:

Lit's self proclaimed "responsible" gun owners are deciding it's best to be totally libertarian about a fool being irresponsible, and instead blame the libs for not "getting all the facts" before pointing out the most obvious fact that the guy was a fool.

The most foolish part if this story is that the thread host regards himself as a Zen Master.

Too much exposure to Hollywood movies and not enough social connection in real life.

And WHO exactly were you intending to reply to????
Certainly not coati, I, nor anyone else here LOL'ing on the idiocy of said video.
Chobham? Can you and I have a talk? It's just you and I. No one else is here.

Look, I get you. You come to the board and you wanna engage with folks you disagree with. You're itching to. But painful experience has made you realize that saying too much could expose you for, well, you know...
But the itch in you is still there. And it builds and builds and, sure enough, you get the courage to start threads where you finally are able to make statements that you think, "Well, certainly, no one of able body and mind could take issue with."
Ugh, sadly, what comes out are things like: 'A world without China' or ‘Food for thought’ where are you humbly ask folks to listen to the musings of one Jordan Peterson. I’m here to tell you, my friend, that it does not have to be this way for you and the change can start right now.

Try again, ok?
But this time, tell the truth and be sincere in your apology to TH.

What I was trying to illustrate is; even people who don't fuck around and use normal PPE can be injured (eye glasses and ear protection are the standard PPE when bench shooting). That was the point of the video.

If you wish to test destructively, he does illiterates how in several other videos, which was my point. Not everyone does dumbshit like chubby posted. In fact I'd almost think that video was of him and AJ.

If you want to be bothered (which I doubt) go to around the 5 min of this video where he has a remote trigger and backfire guard setup.

I would disagree that the "Kentucky guy" was being "responsible".

😑

The idiot copped to using old, “hot” rounds of unknown manufacture and performance in an old gun that has been fired many times. And shooting at a fire hydrant isn’t "responsible” either, imho. It’s juvenile, and encourages the use of firearms for non-utilitarian purposes. It isn’t even competitive shooting, which does have some legitimate applications.

Also:

The suggestion that metal fatigue on the threads of the end cap, etc, wasn’t a factor is a blatant attempt to avoid responsibility for irresponsible behavior (fucking around) with a ridiculous weapon (for civilian purposes) and ridiculously powerful (and defective) rounds.

This literally was a "fuck around and find out” moment for that idiot.

*nods*

And yet, here you are, keeping this thread Page One Above The Fold.

:ROFLMAO: :nana:
Yup, need to make sure as many people as possible are aware of macho gun-nut mentality. Also good to put this mentality on full display to law enforcement officials.

I know I said I wouldn't respond to you here anymore but WTF is this? You carried on a multi-post attack on me and now you are saying oops it wasn't meant for you? Either you are fucked in the head or a liar.

I have a couple of old military rifles with dark bores. I've had good luck using a rust remover product to clean up a mess of old tools which I've had for years. The thought is, maybe if I plug the muzzle and set the rifles on the plug and fill the barrels with this stuff and let it sit for 48 hours or so, the bores might brighten up a bit. Then again, it might not work, but it might be worth an experiment.
Don't use any ammonia-based chemical solution. They eat up copper fouling in short order but it will migrate into the pores and microfractures in your barrel and continue to erode those fissures. Running an oiled patch through won't stop it either. it will simply trap the ammonia in the pores. The only way to clean those ammonia-based solutions out is to flush the bore several times with hot water. I'd start with Hoppes #9 and Marksman's Choice with a bronze brush for openers.

Been there done that. I love #9, but it hasn't touched it really.

Maybe they're . . . wait for it . . . the untouchables . . . .

Big win for 2A. The Third Circuit just has just struck down Pennsylvania’s bar on 18-to-20-year-old adults carrying a loaded gun. 🇺🇸

Bigger yet is the current case before the court, Relentless v. Dept. of Commerce and Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, it could have huge ramifications for Federal agencies like the ATF, EPA, rule rule-making authority. At this point, it appears the SCOTUS is very likely to curtail or dump the Chevron Doctrine altogether. If so it will put a stop to federal agencies creating regulations beyond the authorities established by Congress in their enabling legislation.
