Who is the most versatile author you know here?

I category hop all the time. But, even so, i tend to stick to areas such as:

1. Fetish
2. BDSM
3. Romance
4. Lesbian
5. Anal
6. SciFi / Fantasy
7. Erotic Couplings
8. Exhibitionist / Voyeur (thanks @Djmac1031 )

With the occasional foolhardy road trip into Loving Wives and NC/R - mostly with subversion on my mind.

But who are the true masters / mistresses of multiple categories. Authors who can write Gay Male as easily as First Time? Who can gain plaudits from Loving Wives and then Non-human? Incest / Taboo then Mind Control?

I need to know who these paragons are.

I have one, but it's 1P so the action is focused on what the narrator is doing. It would probably be a challenge to describe an orgy and give all the participants equal screentime.

I have a story cooking in my brain that might end up in the romance category, which is a surprise even to me. I'm not trying to hit new categories, I just keep getting ideas and they end up where they end up.

Yeah, I understand where Emily was going with this thread, but I just jump around so much when reading, I can't say who the most versatile writer I've read, is. Because I don't read more than one or two at a time from any writer. It might be true of most of us.

It's a middling category at best. I'd probably be better served by sticking all of mine in Mature. If I write another one that's age-difference and happens to have a threesome in it, I'm probably going to. Hardly outside the readership's expectations, so it fits just as well there and would get a larger readership.

I've considered submitting there, but what stops me is the idea of the Group Sex being the focus of the story, rather than an adjunct (however important) to the main slant. I can't remember who it was but someone was making the point about differences in categories between ones which are lifestyle or identity focussed, and ones which are act focussed, with the act focussed categories being less interesting or 'in depth' in some way. I don't completely agree with that viewpoint, but I am adjacent, and whilst I might include, e.g. a threesome in a story, or anal, I'm focussing (I hope) on more than just an act. An act, in the end, isn't a relationship or an identity.

Which isn't to denigrate authors who make those categories work for them. There's good stuff there. I just feel that these categories are perhaps a bit limiting for me.

I’ve written stories with guy on girl and girl on girl hookups plus epic threesomes & moresomes. I try to hit a fresh kink or fetish with every story I write. I’ve posted in Fanfic, Fantasy/Sci-Fi, EC, LW, Lesbian, Romance, Group Sex, E/V, I/T, T/M… not big into Anal, BDSM, or Mature stuff, though I have depicted it in other categories. My characters are from diverse cultures and races. I try to continually surprise myself with what I can do. Haven’t written a heavy Gay Male story yet, though I have featured gay and bisexual male characters in other categories.

But I would never aspire to put myself in the position of a master at writing. You want to see me as that, read more of my writings and decide for yourself if you like them. Then give positive feedback to help me improve. I will do the same for you as I have in the past.

Not every, but a lot. I think I’m at 17 now? My Crime and Punishment story this year is going to go in Interracial, and one of the Halloween stories in Erotic Horror. I have ideas for Toy, Nonhuman, Celebrity, NonErotic, Lesbian, and Trans stories; just need to find time to write them, which has been in extremely limited supply lately. I’ve got 10K into a story that will probably end up in Novellas, but I don’t know when I’ll pick it back up. And I could probably knock out an Illustrated using Daz3D for the art. That just leaves Gay Male and the sort of “oddball” categories, I think.

I generally gravitate (mavitate?) towards Sci-Fi, and to a lesser extent T&C, but I've also published in (order from most to least): NC/R, MC, E&V, Fet, L&T, I/T, EH, NH, Les, T&M, Anal, H&S, down to one or two only in Group, BDSM, LW, C&FF, EC, N&N - although that last one is a very long story touching on numerous themes.

I should clarify that, under the challenge I'm setting myself, illustrated, audio and non-English don't count.
If there are enough people interested in doing all categories I might suggest a Chain Story, but I can see that going off the rails pretty quickly.
