I've heard that line 50 different ways and I've tried them every time. Still, no matter how delicious the seasonings and accompaniments, the demon weed always shines thru and ruins it. If it's so good, why do you have to mask it's flavor and take what's represented as a healthy vegetable and give it as many calories as a dessert?

I kind of think you hold out on this just to be cantankerous. It’s just a vegetable and it tastes just fine. When doctored up with bacon or maple glaze or anything it is even tastier but simply roasted with salt and pepper and olive oil and it’s delicious.

Same here. Tiny gross cabbages can be covered up with everything I love but in the end, they're still tiny gross cabbages. (cue all the people saying "well, actually...)

Don't even get me started on turnips! I had to throw away perfectly good cheese because the stench/taste of the turnips infected it. Nothing makes me angrier than a waste of good cheese!

Everything is better with bacon

I learned to love brussels sprouts with bacon. My husband’s grandmother was from the south and she made them that way and they were delicious. Not arguing that bacon doesn’t add to brussels sprouts. What I am saying is that when cooked well brussels sprouts taste good.
