What’s your most controversial opinion?

Per Google:

“Cool beans” originated in the 1970s, with comedy duo Cheech and Chong cited as pioneers of the term. The phrase continued to be used throughout the 1980s and 1990s; TV daughter D.J. Tanner said it frequently on the television show “Full House.” It roughly means “okay” or “sounds good.”

Our 50 year, one-sided Cold War with Cuba needs to end.

I originally liked this comment but I remembered something that I read from a number of weeks ago and that is Sweden has requested the EU to stop the co-operation agreement with Cuba due to increased and continuing human rights violations taking place in Cuba.

There’s an awful lot of human rights violations in China, North Korea, and, tbh, the US. Only Cuba gets shafted, which contributes to its poverty, and poverty breeds dictators

I've been trying to kill that one off since I first heard it close to 20 years ago.
The urban legend that I've always heard is that this phrase came from the basketball player Manute Bol. He was from Sudan; English was his second language. He would say "My bad" when fouling people (again, as the legend goes).

My other favorite sports-to-society urban legend is that the fist bump was popularized by baseball player Stan Musial in the 50s because he felt he was catching too many colds from shaking hands.
