Think Steve Harris writes most of the songs/lyrics... think he's a bit of a history buff by the sounds of it.

Such a broad category. Do I want something to make me wealthy, like White Christmas (the downside is I'd be dead) or maybe an Ed Sheeran or Taylor Swift song? Do I want something iconic, that stands the test of time and gets played everywhere (American Pie, Thriller, Piano Man, etc)? Do I want something deeply meaningful or something that addresses an issue of importance? Yes, I want all that but fuck it, let's go with trippy and fun (and likely canceled in today's world):

I was between this one and something by another favorite lyricist, Todd Snider.

I remember loving this song as a kid and the video had Chevy Chase being funny and all that. Once I hit middle age I gave this song another listen and it's an entirely different experience. It's about crisis that comes with getting older. Just amazing writing.
