I’m in the camp of coati that the keeping it from criminals argument is weak. And it would be nice if you or anyone would have called out Joe and the manner of his his shotgun purchase. But kudos again to you! Coming to the table with some honest initial proposals.

I didn't call him out because I wasn't fully informed of the circumstances. It's like passing judgment on someone for a 10 sec viral video clip when if you saw the 1 minute before it changes the whole narrative.

I've read both sides. I stand by that if a person isn't mature enough to handle 1 shouldn't be considered enough for any let alone something that is irreversible or effects the rest of their life ie sterilization and Sweden has banned it for minors for just that reason, others are leaning that way

The problem with your argument is that it's beyond stupid.

One guy with a single shot bolt action rifle and good optics can cause a lot of casualties and the victims won't even see or hear it coming.


So the issue isn't "high capacity" or "mass destruction" or any of the other meaningless terms you want to throw out, it's the mindset of the guy behind the trigger. That means that a sociopath will figure out a way and all the laws and rules and whinging on the part of little chicken shit cowards like you and the rest of the anti-gun progressives will not change anything.

Because a sociopath will always find a way.


In the end, the solution is to stop coddling the mentally ill by allowing them to walk around in public unsupervised. However, society isn't going to do that because it means that a major percentage of the progressives who are wandering around at least half stoned all the time will end up locked up.

Whitman was just one example. Hollywood even made a movie using that idea as the plotline (Reacher). And there are lists of shooters who have made extreme long range shots. (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longest_recorded_sniper_kills ) But the Progressive Left really has no clue about any of that and instead just rants loudly about "weapons of war."

A .223/5.56 AR shoots a .22 caliber bullet and it's good for punching paper out to about 400 yds. Meanwhile something like a .338 Lapua can put a hole in 1/4" steel plate at half a mile. Not a "dent," a HOLE. .50BMG and the other calibers in that class can do the same at a mile or more AFTER going through a concrete block wall. It won't be a tiny hole either.

Yet the dodos on the Left somehow think that a short barrelled semi auto rifle with a pistol grip shooting a .22 bullet is worse than either of those if it has a magazine with 11 or more rounds in it and it has a "shoulder thing that goes up."

It's just too dam ridiculous. And the contortions they go through in their ignorance to try and justify their beliefs are ludicrous.

Well, I reckon in the general scheme of things that they matter as much as white lives do when white people kill other white people with guns, but nobody who believes all lives matter ever comes out to protest their deaths.

It's almost as if (white) people believe killing others is the natural order of things and there's nothing that can be done.

The answer is yes, that's wrong. To my knowledge no modern court in the nation has ever cited that as evidence supporting the right to bear arms. Find me a court case in which a party has successfully cited God as the grantor of gun rights in the USA.

It’s because ARs appeal to that special breed of ammosexual incels that like to get all shoot-y in schools, malls, concerts, grocery stores, etc.

Also: The AR platform was designed for the military.

Also: If some ammosexual incel gets all shoot-y with a Glock, the injuries are likely to be far less severe, and relatively limited.

Also: Decent, intelligent advocates for better gun laws constantly push for limiting the size of clips so those ammosexual incels are rendered even more impotent than they already are.

Also: Amoosexual incels come in all colors and usually have the same mental and physical characteristics - NOT “Alphas”.
