I'm allergic to the nightshade foods - tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and bell peppers.
The reason given for me to find mushrooms inedible is due to that allergy.

My husband has his gun/cigar room and I admit that some of the aromas are quite pleasant. I have tried a few but they aren't for me. I've kissed him immediately after he smoked one and I wouldn't say it was unpleasant. Thankfully, he spends more time with his guns than his cigars LOL
