Lean, gemba, SMART, etc., often create MORE work. 🙄🙄 I remember having to learn yet ANOTHER process, I've forgotten what it was now. I ended up telling the CEO I could spend my time doing that, or spend my time, like, actually doing my job! He let me opt out.
I dont have any idea how we get anything done ....all we do is talk talk talk... it is maddening.
 
Hi all! Just turned 51 yesterday, MWF from Alabama. I was told this was an interesting thread and I’m not disappointed. It’s nice to see so many people over the age of 30, and a diverse group at that.☺️

Ugh...outside lights. That's a labor of love - and waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more than I can get up for. So, I salute your effort!
They have these new light that you can install in the soffit.....and keep up all year because you can't see them.... but they are CRAZY expensive
 
So annoying! It was so freeing for me when I realized I could retire. Suddenly, IDGAF and stopped filtering myself so much. It seemed I got so much more respect. 🙄
I told a doc Friday that if the group of docs that work for my hospital expect to be incentivized for the quality, med expense, engagement etc work that they want to be, then they can't farm out work to my team and call it their work. AND that there needs to be the expectation of them getting nothing if they continue this pattern...... he agreed but we will see.... I need a vacation because my mouth is gonna get me in trouble

They will push and push, thinking they can just bully everyone to do what they want. Many don't realize healthcare is different now. Oh, the howling I had to put up with when trying to get them to comply with quality measures. When compensation became tied to performance measures, it got a bit better.
