I watched a few clips of Piers Morgan, “interviewing” people yesterday.

The thing that struck me in each case was how desperate he was to get them to say that Hamas was a terrorist organization, and that nothing could justify October 7.

With one guy he was yelling, “Answer the question!” The guy was trying to answer the question in a thoughtful way, rather than with the simple “YES!” that Piers was looking for, and he did without letting himself be bullied.

And the more I saw of Piers pushing for his desired outcome instead of letting people voice their opinions, the more he created an interest in thinking about it from the other side.

Now I already know what most of you will say… but I will ask anyway.

2) If you were a Palestinian in Gaza are you sure you wouldn’t have joined the attack on Oct 7?

2) 99.99% of Gazans did not participate in the Oct 7th terrorist act. Yet...they are being murdered because they are Palestinian.

1. Terrorists are usually defined as fighters who launch attacks on civilians to achieve a political goal. They are therefore terrorists

There is a crucial difference between freedom fighters and terrorists.

Freedom fighters fight wars.

Terrorists massacre peaceful civilians.

If you can't understand the difference it is no good even answering the question, because you wouldn't have the intellectual capacity to grasp it. But yet, look at it this way. If Hamas had attacked Israeli military targets- barracks, military bases, arms and munitions depots, and the like, with the goal of ending a military occupation and liberating themselves, they might be viewed with sympathy on the world stage as true freedom fighters. And if I was a Palestininan in Gaza I might have joined the attack if this were the case.

But of course, that isn't what they did, and it isn't who they are.

Ummmmmmm. The people living in those communities that Hamas attacked were not peaceful. In fact...they were all once Palestinian communities that were stolen. That doesn't warrant what Hamas did. Both sides are wrong. And violence only begets more violence.

You might consider the relative strength of Hamas’ military operation and Israel’s before settling the bar at waging a conventional war against an opponent they cannot beat in that fashion.

The entire violent Arab movement to "undo" Israel reminds me a whole lot of the post defeat confederate movement that kept “the cause” alive. - “From the river to the sea” is the modern day equivalent of “The south will rise again.”

I don't remember if I read it here or on another board, but they hit all 14 military border guard towers and disabled 13 of them. It's also thought that they believed they were hitting other military targets and to some extent that was born out. There were bad actors doing bad things, but was that the intended mission? Or were those just doing wrong against orders?

To say they intentionally hit only civilian targets with political intent is not exactly accurate.

Guerilla is the standard neutral term when a media outlet hasn't yet been told who to back in a conflict. Impatient angry young men would also fit. Israel is dying, but not fast enough for people who grew up in apartheid.

The UK created Israel as its usual exit spoiler move to fuck with former UK colonies in that region, to keep the colonies divided, squabbling, and weak for a while. Differences will be resolved eventually and some new power will rise as the new empire of the region, probably Iran.

The Hamas animals hit those automated machine gun guard towers to facilitate the possibility of success for their civilian rape, torture, murder, and hostage operation.

If those towers weren’t neutralized, there is no “October 7th” as we now know it.

That area was a “soft target” once the automated machine gun turrets were put out of action. One “soft target” in that area which the Hamas animals targeted for rape, torture, murder, and kidnapping, was a dance party attended by a bunch of young peace activists.

You know why it seems childish? Because, frankly, talking to you is like talking to a child.

A person with childish intelligence who only understands one thing- "Hate, hate, hate." It's all you do. All you come up with. And you lack the ability to process or analyze things logically. I see this over and over with you; which is why I have to dumb it down. When I say, I am intellectually superior to you, I am not belittling you or insulting you. I am stating it as a simple fact, because the things you post lack intelligence, logic or even reason, and are only based on emotion, that of hate and intolerance.

The people in Gaza voted for Hamas. They could have chosen differently. Hamas had to know Israel would respond. As long as they could hide in tunnels they didn't care about the innocent women and children.
Taking children as hostages is, by definition, terrorism.
