The only gun used on January 6 was by a capitol police officer that shot an unarmed woman protestor to death.
Duhhhh. Forced entry during a riot staged to overturn the court-confirmed results of a national election and hang the Vice President might result in getting you shot.

And now others are paying a price for that insurrection attempt.
Who's the enemy?
The ones who cannot accept the will of the people in a court-confirmed election.

This thread will continue to get push-back for promoting a culture of insurrection.

This thread will continue to get push-back from people who take themselves too fucking seriously, have no sense of humor, and who delusionally think that anyone outside their bro patrol gives a thin-sliced fuck what they think (used quite loosely) or say, ad nauseum.

Watched it. I think he makes the case for the 6.5.

I always likes the .260 and the Creedmoor is the same only different. Besides, it's available.

In semi-auto . . . .
There is that. Make sure you get it with an adjustable gas block, you'll thank me later.

Touchy, touchy! Sounds like it ain't just guns that have triggers!

Keep on telling yourself that you don't care what I and orhers are saying, because we are going to keep saying it.

Maybe you can get a moderator to protect your safe space!

Van life is very common in some areas, especially the insanely high rent areas. Owning a gun is 4th on this woman's list of safety suggestions.

The PPsh-41 submachinegun, also known as the "Papasha", was the most prevalent sub machine gun used by the Soviets in WWII. It is chambered for the 7.62x25mm round and fires at 1250 rounds per minute, earning it another nickname, the "Burp Gun." Over 5 million were produced during the war. The Germans used captured PPsh-41's with some being converted to 9mm. This should be considered high praise for this weapon.

I'm a 6.5 fan it's great for teaching, not much kick, and light for teenager or old man like me;) to carry with pull adjustable in the axis series just a all around great gun.
2 of them will be in the woods Pa buck season tomorrow!

Considering (but just considering it) putting together a new long distance precision rifle.

.22-250 or .223? 22-250 is hard to get (if not impossible) and is a lot more expensive. OTOH it carries its energy out an additional 100 yds and has a slightly flatter trajectory. It's doubtful I'll be shooting more than 500 yds so either works.

I saw statistic the other day that said Americans are approximately 4% of the worlds population, and own over 40% of the world’s firearms that are in civilian hands.

Now that is something to be thankful for!

Happy Thanksgiving!🦃
And have never had an invasion by another country because of it (except in the last 3 years by our own government lackadaisical policies)

I have no problem at all purchasing .22-250 ammo when I need to buy it. I do reload it so it's been a while since I've needed to buy it on the market. I do see it in sporting goods stores here, it's very popular. In California, you can buy it online but it must be delivered to an FFL holder who will no doubt mark up the price to pay for handling. Otherwise, you can hit the stores in your area and check availability. Where I live many people use the .22-250 for varmint control, mostly for coyotes. I have two such rifles, one for varmints and one for target shooting.

If you are building new or buying new why not go to the 6.8 that the military is going to? I would assume there will be a metric shit ton of civilian rifles chambered in that and the call for ammunition for them.

I'v had them for years each grand kid gets a savage axis in 6.5 the Christmas after they do the hunters safety course. That way I can buy ammo in bulk and not worry about different calibers, its enough of a pia with my own different calibers to keep track of;)

Not immediately and the ammo cost is $$$$$$$$$. The case is a hybrid and loaded to 80,000 psi. and it's unknown at this time if it can be reloaded.

Google sez:

In April 2020 the United States Department of Defense decided to replace the Mk13 . 300 Winchester Magnum sniper rifle with a 20-inch (508 mm) barrel, semi-automatic AR-10 platform chambered in 6.5 mm Creedmoor and ammunition for engagements from 0 to 1,200 yards (0 to 1,097 m).

This seems notable.

All good cartridges. The reason for the 6.5 or the 25-06 out west is for antelope, sheep, or goat. The higher energy is required at the ranges you hunt those animals.
