^^^Translation for those who are not Deplorables: This poster does not have any citations from the Militia Act to back up the bullshit he slung in post #2197 in this thread, so he personally attacks the person who requested a citation. Here's what he said in that post about the Militia Act mandating the gun-nuts to have military weapons:
"For instance, well regulated doesn't have to mean formal training. Especially when the Militia Act requires the unregulated militia to appear with arms suitable for defense of the nation with which they've trained.
A requirement which also neatly defeats your "weapons of war don't belong in the hands of civilians" argument because the Militia Act mandates that we have those weapons."
Many bosses have that most annoying trait. And then there are those who break chips off in the dip and leave the shards there.
Wretched cunts the lot of them.
Cite where the Militia Act, with its myriad of amendments that ultimately established the National Guard, still requires the "unregulated" militia to show up with military arms.
Thought of this Wat? quote above this morning when I heard that an unnamed Republican state legislator shot his wife in the foot while posing with his family in a portrait studio for one of those oh-so-trendy Christmas portraits where everyone is holding a firearm.Just because it isn't your fault doesn't mean that you won't get blamed anyway.
You might want to check your sources, that is from a SATIRE news feed according to SnopesThought of this Wat? quote above this morning when I heard that an unnamed Republican state legislator shot his wife in the foot while posing with his family in a portrait studio for one of those oh-so-trendy Christmas portraits where everyone is holding a firearm.
Naturally, it wasn't HIS fault that his wife now has a bullet wound in her foot...nope, "the gun just went off!"!!

I you want to keep your 2A rights, you better vote for someone other than Trump. He's already said that he's going to suspend the constitution and the first thing a dictator does is confiscate personal firearms and silence the free press.
Oh yawn, yet another liar posting about Trump and guns.

I'm registered Republican and have to agree about Trump NOT being pro-2A. He initiated the bump stock ban and advocated Red Flag laws. He was ill advised in these by the NRA who I have since cancelled my membership. Trump is only 2A friendly when it serves him. That among other things is why I will probably not vote for him in the primaries.
Especially those people who like to pick apart the statements of others in order to find a nugget they can spin into a false narrative.
Character statements are not "illegal acts". Being a "scumbag" isn't either (remember Bill Clinton?). What they are, are projections of YOUR beliefs onto another person. This is why character evidence is frowned upon by everyone.
I have a problem with Obama's "Birth Certificate". It's a technical one; his "Birth Certificate" isn't a "BIRTH CERTIFICATE" it's a "Certificate of Live Birth" and was created several days after his birth.
Even someone as simple minded as 'slinger should be able to count and compare the number of letters and see that they don't match.
Which is not to say that the Right wouldn't mock him, they certainly would, but do you really think he's not being mocked every time "let's go Brandon" gets shouted at a football game? The guy is nothing but mockery so the optics of going to KY instead of the game changes nothing.
I'm not "every RW[er]" on this board.
Brandon's a senile and demented chicken shit who hasn't ever been able to figure out what the right thing to do is in his over 40 years in politics/government unless it was to pad his own bank account.

Trump did a lot of great things to help our country as did Reagan but neither were very Pro-2A. Reagan's 1986 Firearms act made it near impossible to now own select fire rifles. Since this a gun thread I'm not going into the other things I didn't like.
I'd heard that also. Funny thing about the NFA is the first Supreme Court case in Miller ruled against him because Short Barrel Shotguns were Not a military weapon. But they now want to ban ARs because they're "military grade" So which is it.Feel free if you'd like. Threads here eventually turn into blurt threads, after a fashion.
I once read somewhere that the NFA34 would have banned handguns instead of silencers/suppressors in its initial form.
Probably doesn't know how to interpret written English. For instance, the Second Amendment establishes the right to keep and bear arms predates the Bill of Rights:You're about the dumbest of the dumb here on Lit. You say you deal with lawyers every week yet you cannot formulate a cogent rationale on nearly every subject you've ever commented on. Thus, it's probably not the lawyers who are causing whatever problems exist where lawyers must interact with you on behalf of their clients.
Case in point is that our Rights pre-exist the Constitution. You don't seem to understand that concept and instead seem to believe that our Rights are granted by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. That's not how things work. Our Rights transcend the Constitution and Bill of Rights because they existed prior to the creation of those documents and those documents do not take those Rights from us. Which means your entire argument is based on your fucked up nonsensical ideology taking you down the path of stupid once again.
And finally, we're not talking about AR's versus words/votes, we're talking about RIGHTS. There's no valid concept whereby some rights can be exercised without interference or restriction and some being "permitted." They're Rights and that means neither you nor the government gets to choose which ones we have.
Basically, whatever you think is wrong and I feel very sorry for whichever lawyers have to deal with your dipshittery on a weekly basis.
