Excellent! It's really great to have a mechanic you can trust! He actually called me at 830 (first thing) and it was a rotten inlet and outlet hose?? I think that is what he called it. He has been pretty great. I asked about servicing other things and he said he would look at the recommendations so we can come up with a plan that won't break the bank. He has called back x2 to keep me appraised of stuff. It has been good
Good answer!People keep asking me what my 5yr plan is... my answer is retirement
I was very fortunate to be able to retire. I love it!Just curious… how many of us here are in a similar boat than I am, where retirement is probably never going to be an option?
Everyone wants to hang with the cool kids!hey there experienced people.....mind if a mid 40's guy joins your party?
I've done some volunteering in the Healthcare sector. During Covid, I gave vaccines and swabbed noses & throats. If you are looking to keep busy doing useful things there are lots of non-profits always desperate for volunteers. If I were willing to not earn income I could be treasurer for half of the non-profits in town.
Maybe for some, I will never be able to retire or think about cutting back on work unless we win the lottery (and I dont even buy tickets). For those of you that are still working, enjoy it as much as you can but there’s definitely better days ahead!

I've always admired people who devote their lives to helping others. Nurses, teachers, counselors, etc. The hours can be long and it's often thankfess work, but so vital.During the lock down my entire dept was re routed to the vaccine clinic...
It can sometimes be thankless.... but some of the people I have cared for I will never forget.... every nurse has stories... it is how we can stay sane with all.the terrible things we see and do to helpI've always admired people who devote their lives to helping others. In my 20s, I was admitted to the hospital for 10 days with internal injuries due to a work trauma. I was so amazingly thankful to anyone who helped in any way. I felt so helpless but grateful for the excellent care.It can sometimes be thankless.... but some of the people I have cared for I will never forget.... every nurse has stories... it is how we can stay sane with all.the terrible things we see and do to help
I vote for the "way too much time on LIT" !I'm in the same boat. Do I travel, find a different job, keep spending way too much time on LIT perhaps?
I second that!!!!.....but what's your definition of way too much?I vote for the "way too much time on LIT" !![]()
Kind of wondering if that is measured in hours, or inches…. Actually, I don’t need to know.I second that!!!!.....but what's your definition of way too much?

Give them time. It generally takes a couple weeks for them to start to work. Did you wean off your old meds?Just an fyi here, my new meds don’t seem to be working yet, so just about anything you see here from me is probably going to make Eeyore look upbeat and happy.
Under my doctor's orders I immediately stopped taking the old ones (which caused me to have extreme difficulty climaxing, just what you need when you're already suffering from depression) when I started taking the new ones, and it's already been at least three weeks, getting closer to four, and they said it could be up to five weeks. The problem is that I seem to have gotten much worse during this transition between medications than I was before I started treatment at all. I already have another doctor appointment with my regular doctor the day after Thanksgiving for a physical and if I don't feel these meds are working for me, then either the dose will need to be increased or we'll have to try a third option.Give them time.
