What’s your most controversial opinion?

I've said that for a long time. They have some good tunes, some bad tunes, some really bad tunes and a whole bunch of middle of the road mediocre tunes.
Guess I haven't heard a good one yet.😋
That new one would cure insomnia

I read something, somewhere (must have been on the internets, right?) that claims The Pretty Things should have gotten all the hype.

I just think The Who and Yes were better musically. Townsend and Wakeman both have classical training and it shows.

60s music, I love The Rolling Stones & Pink Floyd. Hubby is a huge Led Zep fan

Kinda wish I hadn't read Wakeman's Wiki .....

In 2016, Wakeman announced he has type-2 diabetes and in 2023, said his playing is now affected by macular degeneration in his left eye and arthritis in his hands and feet.

A few other things in there I didn't like, but he seems tio have been quite high in British society.

It's Saturday so let's stir the pot 😁

The Beatles are the most overrated band in history.
I've referred to them as "the first boy band" and compared them to NSYNC and Backstreet Boys when I really wanted to troll a fan lol. Not my cup of tea but they were part of a previous generation that I didn't grow up with so I try not to judge. I don't expect kids these days to like the music I grew up with.

But Paul McCartney's Wonderful Christmastime is still one of the worst songs in the history of music. Ruins my Christmas every year! Screw that garbage song!!!:ROFLMAO:

Exactly...way over-rated in my opinion. Right place right time.

Now...they did mature into at least something passable. Or explainable. Did I own the White Album? Sure. I played it maybe twice.

My PEOPLE!!!
I’ve said for years the Beatles, Seinfeld and avocados are overrated

That people don't really care about what you look like, what your voice is like, how rich you are, the car you drive, etc., it's what is on the inside that matters, shallow people have found that opinion controversial, .....I kick them to the curb and try to find the good intentions and beauty in everyone I meet...I know that it's because I'm older, but I'm still learning, still loving life and the nice people who are in it. I can always do better!

And so this is Christmas
And what have we done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so happy Christmas
We hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young

The first time I ever heard Lennon's song, it was used as the background for a charity serving starving children. I don't remember which one now and the Wiki doesn't mention it.

That is still the only context I've ever heard it and it's how I associate the song.

And so this is Christmas
And what have we done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so screw you.
