Why are republican states busy spending the infrastructure money on roads and bridges and internet like it's going out of fashion but hate rail? Hidden interests? Powerful backers invested in the other stuff but not in railways? Simply a case of "If Biden says good we say bad"? America BADLY needs railway infrastructure, but then i guess that would make it essentially cheaper and easier in the long run for people to escape those red states.

I asked you what concessions you would expect dems to get for helping republicans. I don’t recall an answer coming that I saw in that thread. We live in a world where we should not be shocked by the bottom dragging of republicans (blocking nominees, seating George Santos, saying corporations are people) but, yeah, it still happens that they surprise. In addition to tying the IRS to aid to a pro-gay, pro-abortion ally they and their supporters oddly support like no other US ally, there are other republicans calling for it to be tied to border security. Dems, again, are clear on how they want the aid given. It is no surprise though that America is having to watch more republican infighting - now between senate and house.
