pretty sure by now he's convinced himself (helped by worried lawyers who are 90% sure his mouth will get him put away) a brief stay behind bars (48 hours tops), away from the general population and with special protection WITH photos (AI generated or otherwise) that he can use to sell crap, will all work towards enhancing his victim narrative. so spin, baby, spin.

he'll liken himself to Mandela, calling himself a political prisoner being silenced for his opposition to an 'out of control Biden' which his base will eat up and ask for more. Which is probably why the judges involved in these cases are treading warily rather than give him what he can benefit from. On the flip side, it'd be a toss-up with more moderate republicans: some will see the images of him behind bars as the final straw, while others might buy into the political prisoner nonsense.

Jack Smith to use Trump's phone data at trial​

Special counsel Jack Smith plans to use data from former President Trump's White House cell phone in the federal 2020 election interference case, per a Monday court filing.

Smith plans to call an expert witness who has "extracted and processed data," from the phones of the former president and another unnamed person.

The witness would also determine the usages of the phones during the post-2020 election period, including on and around Jan. 6.

That includes the periods of time when the Twitter app was open on Trump's phone the day of the Capitol riot, per the court filing.

Smith might as well know right away if the Trump-stacked Court is going to authorize criminal behavior by the autocrat who stacked the Court. If a Republicans are allowed to override all institutional checks and balances and do whatever they want to change the results of an election, we may never see another Democrat in the White House again.

There would be no question how the current Supreme Court would rule if a Democrat incited the J6 insurrection attempt. Just the fact that we even wonder what the outcome will be for a Republican demonstrates how politicized the Court has become.
