A few minutes ago card X, The Wheel of Fortune appeared.....It's all a spin of the wheel or a roll of the dice....or is it?
Meanwhile, in this hour before daybreak, I have coffee and ice water....and quiet.........

It makes no sense does it. Hahahaha
Woke up this dreary Sunday morning, got my hot cup of tea and went back to bed. No pains or aches tbh and actually felt good.

It's been two weeks since I've quit coffee. After not years but decades of drinking it I quit coffee. Not sure if me feeling good and not drinking coffee is correlated but I'll take it.

Hope you enjoy the remaining weekend.

I need to lay off the diet pepsi... I qm sure the sweetener and caffeine is no good for me. To be honest est I need to change my whole diet... it is BAD and I have gained some weight too.... a big hit to my confidence and holds me back

You're one step ahead of the game since you're aware of what's holding you back so kudos to you. Now you just gotta do what you need to do to turn things around and make your life better.

I know, I know easier said than done but you seem to e a strong woman who gets things done so do it 🙂

At the end of the summer I changed my diet where I used " caloric deficit " as in having a negative number each day, each week to lose weight. I used to do OMAD but implemented IF instead then changed to IDF. It's done miracles where I sleep better now and have no pains.

Apologies for the many acronyms.

Several years ago I went 6 months with no pop and no alcohol. Exercised, and ate better. 55 pounds melted right off. Now I’m eating healthy and no alcohol/ pop and it’s all I can do to stay skinny/ fit.
Getting old sucks!!! And not in the good way.
Yeah. I have gained and lost many times over the years....I don't drink alcohol, and I know what I NEED to do.... I need the motivation to do it.

When I gave up soda years ago I lost 20 lbs without trying. I am fine with my current weight but need to just get into better condition. I know what I need to do but hard to make myself do it.

Yeah. The only thing that has ever worked for me is calorie deficit, water alone and strict (and I mean strict) self control.

Strict??? How does 126 hours of fasting sound to you 🤣 strict??

I've gone that long twice in the past 6 weeks with only coffee then and liquids in the afternoon. I've had 10k to 12k calorie deficits the last 6 weeks so I went from 172lbs to 145lbs recently.

Now I'm just on strict maintenance and not necessarily weight loss.

Once I get into it about a week I am good to go. Losing weight involves (for me) more than diet. I have to eliminate triggers for emotional eating and staying busy.... lonesomeness and bordem are killers for me
I wish you luck with these triggers and keeping busy. They're obviously key items to being successful which I hope you will be!!?? As my little one often says " easy peasy " 🙂

Well, if you get bored here, there’s lots of activities….😂

I've found exercising works for me. I see a personal trainer who is really sweet but brutal! She does only strength training with me and continually adds weights, reps, and sets. I feel good when I leave the gym which also decreases my trigger and emotional eating.

I used to drink a six pack of Diet Coke when I worked night shift. Then continued to drink that much as I don't drink coffee. I quit several years ago and feel much better without it.

Oooffff 72 ounces of Diet Coke daily?? Well at least it was ZERO calories 🤣 good that you quit and I'm sure you're feeling so much better without it!!

During a 12 hour shift, I needed SOMETHING to keep me awake. Then I was addicted.

I do feel better now. I still drink LOTS of water.
Understandable!! When I worked overnights I probably was up to the same amount but for coffee. I'd bring in a coffee when I started then I'd have drivers who worked overnights but me coffee and those on the early shift bring me even more coffee 😳 I just had been drinking hundreds of milligrams.kd caffeine.

I'm happy to say that as of tomorrow morning it'll be two weeks since I stopped drinking coffee after not years but decades of drinking it. Yes I feel better albeit a little fatigued sometimes.

Actually, there are studies that have found drinking a moderate amount of coffee (about 2 cups/day) is beneficial for heart health.
2 cups is about 16 or so ounces. You and I both were consuming 4 times that amount at 64 ounces 🤣

I'm showing my age but I'm now simply having a nice, hot cup of Lipton tea with a splash of lemon every morning in replacement of my coffee. I would had never thought I'd stop drinking coffee but honestly don't miss it at all.
