What do you think all this means; Think about it. We did a lot of similar actions during covid.
What do you think that means!!!You POS!
Apologize!
I directly had conversation with dMallord on that subject matter. The adults in the room were positing solutions to the republican problem. Those were, in his opinion, possible actions to be taken in case American interests were at risk. At no point did he advocate for those to be employed.
Apologize! Now!
Was the Capital bombed that a presidential override was necessary. The house was in full session.Path Two, under the Emergency Powers Act, the US President has the ability to protect America's best interests by Presidental declaration of funding the war efforts, declaring America is in danger. That, too, would be subject to review, eventually. But he could temporarily override Congressional inaction due to an extraordinary state of paralysis in Congress. The clear and present danger environment and the public's will would come into play. And those Supreme Court robed people.
The thread is about the Speaker election, dip shit.We have a speaker, move on! I predicted they would solve it on their own while you and DMallord were ready to tear down the whole system , intervene with the high court, the senate and side step the constitution.
The thread is about the Speaker election, dip shit.
Your party demonstrated that they aren't fit to govern and you're an idiot to completely ignore that. DMallord and other observers know that this will happen again because the Republican party will vacate the speakership again.
Your party wants to burn it all to the ground.
Now that we have a speaker they can vote on rule changes if they deem it necessary. I doubt they will change rules because this hiccup could happen to the democrats and dems don't take well to losing power especially to a republican president. We'll see.The thread is about the Speaker election, dip shit.

I wouldn't be surprised if the house passes a bill to fund Israel tomorrow. I predict the senate will knock it down because Ukraine funding will not be included in the bill.Yeah, so my belief is that come November 17th the government is going to shut down because that’s what trump wants from his republican sycophants. It will probably be no more than 7 days, but that will be enough to feed trump’s talking points against Biden. Republicans will then quietly come back with a resolution that is similar to McCarthy’s. It will include aid to Israel but not Ukraine. It will last until sometime in the middle of January and then House republicans will, believing trump will be too preoccupied with campaigning in Iowa to pay attention, pass a long term budget with Ukrainian aid.
And yes I pulled that all out my ass and I still believe it’s better than nothing which is the only thing we’ve heard from house republicans - nuthin.
They aren't voting on rule changes...because the party is dysfunctional. And they will lose the houseNow that we have a speaker they can vote on rule changes if they deem it necessary. I doubt they will change rules because this hiccup could happen to the democrats and dems don't take well to losing power especially to a republican president. We'll see.
I think house republicans are all done with Gaetz IMHOJohnson to Jeffries - "we're going to find common ground for the American people"
Gaetz (probably) later today - "we need to get rid of Johnson"
You're having a very good day. Please entertain us through the weekend.I think house republicans are all done with Gaetz IMHO
No, they will not be focused, nor more united. You cannot change a zebra's stripes overnight. Those are just not logical statements. That's my opinion with some well-founded basis on a lifetime of observation. It gave the party a chance to refocus, in my opinion it was needed. The pub house is more united now.
Just a minor legal point - he was convicted of sexual abuse and for defamation later. What he did was rape - somehow the law has some grey shades to how much the woman resisted. Otherwise, you got this right. The best part is that your party's candidate is a convicted rapist and traitor.
Your party is a disaster and can't even fix your Speaker problem.
Where is your personal integrity, dumbass?
LolI think house republicans are all done with Gaetz IMHO
I think Gaetz is the face of your party.I think house republicans are all done with Gaetz IMHO
Really? They have a four vote cushion. They need Gaetzs, and he know it....I think house republicans are all done with Gaetz IMHO
i might be wrong, but i think i read the reason he didn't get convicted of rape was the fact Carroll was unsure whether it was his finger/s or his dick that he penetrated her with and where he was being tried it has to be agreed that penile penetration occurred: in a lot of other states rape is counted in both instances, and some also include non-con penetration with an objectJust a minor legal point - he was convicted of sexual abuse and for defamation later. I think so. It looks like her and she does identify herself as an actress.Heather Thomas, the actress from The Fall Guy?
A broken clock is right twice a day.R v W did help, it stopped a red wave. What should have been a 60 +/- seat majority was whittled down to 9 seats.
What do you think that means!!!

Thank you, for helping Icanhelp1 understand the points we discussed. I also made this statement in post #628 to Icanhelp1 directly as the dialogue continued; it points out I wasn't for burning down the house, just explaining the valid and legal options available if dire circumstances require it:You POS!
Apologize!

The resolution will never pass, they need his vote....but this gives them plausible deniability. ( the New York members that is)so now they used his vote, republicans are gung-ho to give santos the boot asap
