1. How old are you? Me 66, wife 59
2. If you still work, what field are you in? Retired military & disability
3. What was the last time you got a reminder of just how old you are?
4. Do you have a partner you have sex with? Yes, my hot sexy wife
5. Have you found yourself being more or less kinky as you get older? Way more
6. If you had a chance to become half your age, physically, would you, and what would you do? Not really, I'm in decent shape and, if younger, I might do something to get myself killed. 😆
7. What's the best part of being over 50? All the discounts
8. What's the worst part about being over 50? Pain from stupid things I've done in my past
9. Do you have less than or more than 5 prescription medications you take daily? Less than...2, soon to be 1
10. How many years younger than you is the youngest person you've had sex with? 7 (my wife). I had sex with an 18 year old (on her birthday) when I was 25, but that's a long story and thankfully I didn't go to jail.

Friends, I’ve got to say, this getting older crap is driving me a bit up the wall lately.

If you read my late night depression unload earlier this week, you may recall I’d gone to the doctor to get my depression medication changed because I have been finding it harder and harder to orgasm the longer I took the old stuff. This new one doesn’t have that side effect, but it will still be a little over 4 weeks to find out if it’s working or not. I have no idea how long a wait for the effects from the old one to pass.

Now when I went to the doctor, they thought the issue was ED, which wasn’t the case at all… at least until just recently! I’ve never failed to get an erection before, especially if I wanted to get one. So yesterday because I’d had requests, I tried to get a picture while fully erect, and didn’t fucking happen! I got maybe half erect at best, so it wasn’t helping me out in the pursuit of someone to have some kind of sex with!!!

What makes matters even worse is that some conversations here and in another thread has had be doing some re-evaluating of where I stand. I’d already discovered an attraction to trans women, and realized that if I ever got together with one I’d have to deal with their penis one way or another. So then I thought how much different is it then to have sex with another man? Someone had said a warm wet mouth is a warm wet mouth, so I started looking to find someone who’d be wanting to give me my first bj from another man, so I could see how I deal with it (there do seem to be way more gay or bi men around than trans women). Those who weren’t turned off by my apparent resemblance to Shrek without the green skin and antennae and adding long hair and glasses wanted to get a pic of my dick to see what they’d be dealing with… and you can imagine how well that went.

I find that some things do get me stimulated enough for a full erection so maybe some of that is in my head, but I was wondering if any of you had experience with supplements to help without having to get viagra or cialis (because it seems that would be wasteful if all my sexual activity was just masturbating anyway).

So yeah, not really in a good place in my head at the moment.

My sexual drive never fully recovered from Lexapro. It improved when I went off it and I can reach orgasm through masturbation much easier but I went from 5 times a week to maybe twice. I of course don’t have a penis so can’t help with the erection. Also unfortunately both sex drive and erections change as we age. So who knows what’s fully to blame. My depression kicked my butt this week after being triggered by a car accident I may talk to the doctor about a different med because I won’t go on Lexapro again.

Good luck finding something. And even if it is just for masturbation, you might talk to the doctor about help. Noting getting hard and being bothered by it can’t be good for depression.

Hello everyone. Sorry I missed the launch of this thread.
My wife and I are both 71, and have been married for more than 40 years. Despite the usual issues associated with growing older we are in good health and love the freedom that these later years provide.
We had some tough years, like most couples, but we have come through it and enjoy being where we are now.
We always plan what we lovingly and jokingly call our "Weekly Sex Marathon" and we always begin with lots of oral as a starter before the main course.
We love all the fun and flirting that goes on during the build-up and especially the kissing.
I mentioned on another thread that we often plan it around a meal and like to dress up for each other and look smart.
I love the fact that we are both deeply in love and count my blessings every day.
Sorry @mpeters Thanks for starting the thread but I'm allergic to filling in forms!

ED reared its ugly head for me a few years ago. Stress, and not enough exercise I blame the most, which means I need to blame the man in the mirror. Not dealing with the stress and getting my lazy ass up and at’m are my worst enemies now.

Having said all that, my 84 yr old FIL gave me this little tidbit…Juvenon…it’s cheaper than Viagra and it seemed to work…when I say it ”worked” it started giving me nighttime erections again, something that I’d noticed had been lacking and more fuller erections…I basically don’t need V anymore!

Here is the downside. They say it takes up to 30 days to work, which interestingly coincides with the number of supplements in the bottle. 🙄. FWIW, I noticed some benefits earlier.

WARNING! They will send you promo junk mail…the kind with sexy women all over the cover wrapped up with a lover that might be cringe worthy if the wrong people see it! It may be worth the embarrassment! Drives my wife nuts though…

For $30 it may be worth a shot, or just go to your local reputable supp store and load up on Saw Palmetto, Horny Goat Weed, and some other well know blood flow supplements.. Good luck!

Yikes! Since my kids sometimes get the mail this doesn’t sound like a good option for me.

I’ll try adding the two you mentioned here, thanks.

Nice that you have such a sexual wife, especially after crossing into sixtiesland, where I am also resident. Congrats both.
We have sex about twice a month. She stopped having sex with others 20 years ago.

55 and struggling with not being 35 anymore. I'm in good shape, always have been. Still go to the gym, still training in martial arts, and to most I wouldn't have any complaints, but can't work out like I used to, slower than I used to be. When I get dinged up it takes longer to recover. Need more sleep these days and am getting nagging pains in my knees and shoulders from over doing it for a long time.

As for sex, the three rounds in a night days are behind me, but having no real issues other than with my wife battling cancer(again) she's not up for anything so I guess I can say I'm resting up for the time being...

Keep at it and keep killing it!!l

My singular concession to being over 60: I have taken extraordinarily good care of my body and could work out every other day. After I turned 60, though, my body rebelled. I now need two days rest between workouts. Workout day 1, DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) day 2, rest day 3. When I'd push and try and force every other day (because "I'd always done it that way"), bad things would result, the worst being a completely torn rotator cuff.

60+
still ride both road and mountain bikes. The road bike is an e-bike but pedal assist. I can go 20 miles very enjoyable.

Need more resistance training but Tweaked my back at the gym.

would love more sex but if it’s after 10 I’m shot, wife would prefer to fuck around after midnight. It’s don’t touch me in the morning and don’t fucking wake me up before 9.

Coming back from rotator cuff is a bitch from what I've seen through some friends. I have had some scar tissue scoped from the left shoulder(I'm a lefty and way too many years of going psycho on the bag and other dumb shit led to that) so I'm more careful now, and I hate to have to be that way. Knees have cut my running down from three mornings a week to two back in 2021 and I may have to quit altogether, or give up other exercises and the Dojo. The days of the "hey watch me do this leaping spin kick" are over because the landing is way too painful and I end up on my ass.

reminds of how full of shit all those martial arts action movies are.

I know they're really successful with knee surgeries now, but who the hell wants to go through that shit?

I think the biggest sign is I was one of those dumb asses who refused to take anything for pain, even advil or Aleve....that changed a couple years ago though. You'd be amazed at how effective a plain advil can be when you've never taken any.

1. How old are you? 59
2. If you still work, what field are you in? Working with youth
3. What was the last time you got a reminder of just how old you are? Fri at work talking to a young person and explaining punk music to them.
4. Do you have a partner you have sex with? Not right now but looking.
5. Have you found yourself being more or less kinky as you get older? Definitely more
6. If you had a chance to become half your age, physically, would you, and what would you do? I would be exploring sexuality again!
7. What's the best part of being over 50? Understanding consent and communication
8. What's the worst part about being over 50? Physical limitations
9. Do you have less than or more than 5 prescription medications you take daily? Less
10. How many years younger than you is the youngest person you've had sex with? 8

I'd been working with a trainer for months, trying to build up my shoulders....the rest of my body looked good, my shoulders looked...small...by comparison.

Anyway...8 weeks training to go for a 1RM ("one repetition personal maximum" for you mortals). The morning arrived, I went to the gym in anticipation, I'm warming up with very light weight shoulder presses (40 pounds) and something feels.....odd...in my right shoulder. I know that's my body's way of "pulling the fire alarm", so I simply cancelled the workout, rescheduled for the following Monday, and went to work.

At work we had a gallon of Chic-fil-a unsweetened tea in the break room refrigerator. I reach in and....cannot lift the damned gallon jug. Something is seriously fucked up. Urgent care time. Oh shoulder sprain sez doc-in-the-box. Didn't get better, decided to see an orthopedic surgeon.

Put your arm straight overhead. Can't do that doc
Put you arm straight out from your body ahead of you. Can't do that doc
Put your arm akimbo, straight out to the side. Can't do that doc.

Immobile in all three directions is a classic rotator cuff tear "at least we can dispense with going through the four week charade of physical therapy".

"You know at your age (55) you technically don't need surgery if you are content with a permanent loss of 20% range of motion for the rest of your life..."

Fuck that.
Cut away.

Doctor did the surgery (was NOT amused that I'd written "WRONG ONE" in pemanent marker on my good shoulder) and it took six fucking months of rehab. Couldn't reach anything on the top shelf of my pantry during this time (I live alone).

I was released from physical therapy when I could lift a 2 pound dumbell up, out and to the side. I was so proud of that achievement, I actually posted a video of myself doing that with a cute pink 2 pound dumbell.

Getting older ain't easy.

61
1300 days until retirement
married but she is not interested in sex
greatest thing about being over 50? being totally based according to my nephew!
worst thing about being over 50? those pesky aches that come out of nowhere!

Rehabbing an injured hip, I went to a "hot yoga" class with my niece. Struggled mightily with hip asanas. Afterwards, the well meaning instructor suggested I might want to look into a class they have for geriatrics called "chair yoga". Just about popped an aneurysm when I heard him say "geriatric".

🤣🤣🤣
When we were trying to have a baby (my wife has fertility issues) the specialist casually mentioned it would be a "geriatric pregnancy ". My wife was 39!
