I didn’t consider myself a “punk” fan, at all. In fact, as I listened to “Eat To The Beat” today, I was struck by how kuch disco influence they clearly had. I still have that on vinyl from when it first came out. I loved that album! Listening to it again today (from my CD), was wonderful!

Strangely, I read somewhere relatively recently, that the producer was quite unhappy in the studio… with the DRUMMING! What?? I do not like busy drummers! I started playing drums at 10… I pay attention… I loved his drumming, even though it was a bit busy, because it was very intentional and sounded precise (to me).

I finally accepted that I am not a good drummer, and abandoned that… but still play bass (main instrument), guitar a very close second, and Hammond Organ (a distant third, but I LOVE Hammond tone-wheel organs!

Kind of a novelty song but it's still pretty cool and it was a pretty big hit when it came out. Burton Cummings has to be one of the most underappreciated vocalists in rock music, and someone please explain to me why these guys aren't in the rock 'n' roll hall of fame.

I am a musician… I played professionally for several years in Northern Nevada… I am very aware that Burton is absolutely amazing. He is easily in my top 5 favorite male vocalists. I absolutely love the sound of his voice.
 
“All I Want” is to go back in time and have them use Audrey Hepburn’s own voice gif her character!!! Who didn’t have a crush on her???

 
I used to perform along with my wife in a year beginning event. She played banjo while I did some saxophone (not very good) in this parade

Sorry Pups… I never got the way people messed themselves over her. Not saying she is less than, I just never thought she was more than either. So… I’m a freak…

please do not hate me.. I mean no disrespect...
 
In Burton Cummings Up Close and Alone.....he does a quick rendition of Gordon Lightfoot singing Maggie Mae (Rod Stewart)...and he does a remarkable job of imitating Lightfoot

Um… what? WHY? Gordon Lightfoot? He is good… really good… but Burton? He is exponentially more talented. And I mean no disrespect to Gordon.
