This song has a super simple progression, but the lyrics are fun, the singing is of course excellent, it builds as a good song should… great dynamics… but for me, I have always loved the attitude and rhythm of the guitar playing. The slightly off timed notes… perfection!

I actually listened to this song a few months ago for the first time…. I think the chorus is really fun… but the rest of it is not something I cared for. And I had the fleeting thought… what if you did what you despise, and sampled the chorus which you think is cool, and wrote something far better for the rest of it??

I think that was when I realized what went through my head, and went and bought whiskey again for the first time in like, 12 years.

Many years ago K..hy and I played in Philadelphia's Mummer's Parade, she played the Banjo and I Bell's and the theme was "Who let the dogs out"! January first in 10° weather we're marching up broad street in full costumes. I was crazy!
