They never have. On the other hand seemingly responsible gun owners often snap and kill themselves or other innocents. You can make a much better case for banning private gun ownership than you can for banning late-term abortion.
I can’t make a case for either.

This is how ridiculous the left has become. This is a topic about guns being fun. What the flying Fuck does abortion have to do with guns. Talk about trying to derail a topic.

https://www.plannedparenthood.org/blog/theres-no-such-thing-as-a-late-term-abortion

“Bottom line: “Late-term abortion” isn’t a thing, except in the imaginations of anti-abortion rights activists. Abortion is health care, and health care is personal. People deserve to be in charge of their own medical decisions throughout their pregnancy. Lawmakers who care more about control than health or personal freedom don’t deserve to make those decisions for you or anybody else.”

If they don’t recognize* late term abortion *as a thing then you would have accept that abortion under Planned Parenthood’s parameters is the same up and down the spectrum of time, Just saying.

Pretzel logic.

And hysteria.

Again, abortions performed in the 7th 8th and 9th months are because of medical necessity.

You're barbaric.

I guess I mistakenly made the humiliating error of giving icanhelp1 way more credit than the rest of you when I expressed the danger of his comment.

Lemme break it down…

He's on a gun thread… (ok, y’all still with me?)
And he’s making up and telling misinformation about Planned Parenthood.

I can write it out in crayon if this is still too difficult for y’all to follow.

Wonder who started it.

They offer some lovely shades and hues in Sharpies now. Might last longer.

Just sayin' . . . .

I still remember my first post on the GB 20-some years ago, and they descended like locusts. It is what it is.
I understand social media vultures. No other outlet that wouldn't get them a mouthful of bloody chiclets. It's call anonymity bravery.

The left is pushing for abortion to be available to all, no matter the circumstances....which includes extremely rare circumstances that the right doesn't seem to understand - except for those unfortunate people who have had to go through it.

Edit: correction - many on the left are pushing for abortion to be a right under any circumstances. The majority were fine with the viability clause of roe v wade, though I do believe most of us wanted more clarity on what it meant
Like I’ve written in the past, I‘m personally against abortion but I also believe it’s not practical to ban it completely. I believe up to 15 weeks after that unless the fetus is not viable, deformed, result of rape or incest, threatens the life of the mother people need to make better decisions.

Or a child of course.

So you were fine with roe v wade precedent.

Got it.

Then quit believing the shit that you're being fed about planned parenthood.

No! Ya don’t got it. No, the court got it right.

You want each state to be different and so healthcare is different depending on what state you live in.

Got it.

When you said you were fine with 15 weeks, you don't believe it should be a standard at all.

The court was stacked (with at least ONE stolen seat, I would argue 2 but at least one) almost just for that. But States rights were a pretty dumb idea 250 years ago and today are just terrible.

Yes. If some of our keyboard warriors used some of their insults in one of my favorite food-n-beverage establishments, they'd discover Brotherhood at a level to astound them.

No, what I believe is the ruling by the court to send it back to the states is the correct one. Let the house and senate sort it out and make it law. I do believe some states are being anal, leave it up to the voters to adjust windage and elevation at the state level.

Yes, so you don't want medical care to have any federal standard and instead want each state to have it's own standard. So if you want heart surgery, move...if you want pediatrician care, move.....

That's what happens when healthcare is left to the states.

Enumerated rights of the federal government, article I section VIII. It’s not about the court or courts. States rights is what makes us a republic. What doesn’t fall under federal enumerated powers reverts back to the states.

So our citizens don't deserve the same healthcare across the country.
