The United States was founded on Enlightenment ideals, not Puritan ones. The Puritans were famously intolerant of any religion other than their own repressive brand of Protestantism.

And Native American political ideas heavily influenced Enlightenment thinkers like Rousseau.

Maybe in the entertainment field. There's nothing in the formation of the government, its legal framework, or the structure of American society that could be considered African in nature. There are places or enclaves that might be Afro-centric, but by the time of the Civil War the vast majority of black people in the US were born here, They are not Africans, they are Americans.
